Back In Stock: Roughtail’s Everything Rhymes With Orange IPA

Adelbert’s Change My Attitude – Tart and slightly salty, this key lime gose is quite the refresher. 5.1% ABV / Austin, TX / Availability: Good

Armadillo Dapper Apple – A “well-groomed” amber ale featuring apple juice and a touch of spices to match (contains lactose). 5.5% ABV /  Denton, TX / Availability: Decent

Blue Owl Plum de Plume – Sour Harvest Ale with plums and spices. Blue Owl has picked rich malts with a lot of caramel and dried fruit notes to give a balance to this slightly higher sour ale (68 SUs). Some hops were added to balance sweetness and sourness, but the real focus was fruit and spices, including 1275 lbs of plum puree as well as bitter and sweet orange peel, dried sage, and vanilla.  5.4% ABV / Austin, TX / Availability: Good (Friday)

Clown Shoes Double Burnt Caramel – Bourbon barrel-aged imperial brown ale with notes of caramel, toffee, and subtle roasted malt flavor. 11% ABV / Boston, MA / Availability: Decent (Friday)

Destihl Funkengruven – New England IPA. A fusion of beer styles. Destihl brews half the batch normally and kettle-sours the other half. Summit & Simcoe hops, along with added grapefruit, produce a funky harmony of tart, citrus flavors & aromas. 7.2% ABV / Normal, IL / Availability: Good (Friday)

Jester King Pattinson Porter –  Pattinson Porter was brewed with Texas Hill Country well water, Weyermann Munich, Caramunich, Carafa III, Blacklands Brownfield, and Liberty hops. Fermented for a little over 6 weeks in stainless steel, then let condition in its bottle vessel for an additional 11 weeks. Brewed with Jesterking’s mixed culture containing several strains of Brettanomyces. 8.4% ABV / Austin, Texas / Availability: Limited (Friday)

Martin House Best Maid Sour Pickle Beer – Martin House’s beloved Salty Lady gose, spiked with Best Maid pickle juice. Like drinking straight from the jar! 5.5% ABV / Fort Worth, TX / Availability: Good (Friday)

Martin House Pachuco – The tequila barrel-aged version of Martin House’s agave and guava sour ale, El Chuco. This beer was aged in tequila barrels for four months. The aging results in a blend of tart and sweet flavors with a little heat and oakiness from the tequila barrels. 8% ABV / Fort Worth, Texas / Availability: Decent

Roughtail Everything Rhymes With Orange DDH Galaxy – Roughtail gives their Everything Rhymes With Orange IPA a huge shot of Galaxy dry hops in addition to the normal dry hops, resulting in a ridiculous 7+ pounds of dry hops per barrel. 7% ABV / Midwest City, OK / Availability: limited

Tupps DDH Series 12 Key Lime – This tasty milkshake IPA is brewed with key lime, vanilla lactose, and graham crackers (not to mention copious amounts of El Jefe, Huell Melon, and El Dorado hops).  7% ABV / McKinney, TX / Availability: Good

Zilker Spacewolf Hazy IPA – A collaboration with Oddwood Ales. The combination of pilsner, oats, barley and chit malts creates a full-body brew with a clean finish. Galaxy hops, complemented by Simcoe cryo and azacca cryo result in a ripe pineapple flavor. 6.8 ABV% / Austin, TX / Availability: Decent

903 Blueberry Lemon Gose – A light & tart fruited gose with prominent berry flavor. 6.5% ABV / Sherman, TX /Availability: Good

Victory Liberty Bell Ringer – This DIPA pays homage to the historical and cultural significance of the great beer-loving city of Philadelphia and packs a punch worthy of the Italian Stallion himself! It was created to celebrate Philly Beer Week. 8.7% ABV / Downington, PA / Availability: Good

Real Ale Mysterium Verum El Guapo – Before adding limes and lactic acid, the finished beer was racked into tequila and mezcal barrels where it would undergo secondary fermentation with lactic acid producing bacteria. The result is a soft sourness from lactobacillus, subtle oak and smoke from the mezcal and tequila, and a refreshing saltiness on the finish. 6.3% ABV / Blanco, TX / Availability: Decent

Great Divide Oak Aged Vanilla Yeti – The sweet vanilla tones meld into the oak character and the two really support and enhance one another, all while sitting on the bold, roasty character we all love from Yeti. 9.5% ABV / Denver, CO / RateBeer /Availability: Decent

Avery Cucumber Hibiscus Sour – A barrel-aged sour with cucumber and hibiscus. Part of the Barrel-Aged 16ers series! 7% ABV / Boulder, CO / Availability: Good

Avery Vanilla Bean Stout  – A double dose of vanilla derived from both fresh Bourbon barrels and the trio of Tongan, Ugandan, and Mexican whole vanilla beans is complemented by the essences of chocolate, caramel and molasses to round out this luxurious silky stout. 10.7% ABV / Boulder, CO / RateBeer / Availability: Good

Unibroue La Résolution – The perfect balance between spicy, caramel and roasted malt flavours is complimented by a nice roundness and persistent finish. La Resolution has a festive feel, but it can be easily enjoyed all year long. 10% ABV / Chambly, QC (Canada) / RateBeer / Availability: Good

Destihl Blueberry Gose – Part of the their Wild Sour Series. This Leipzig-style Gose and blueberries are a combination destined to be together, so we’ve done that for you with this edition of our Gose. The blueberries add another layer of fruity complexity to this sour ale already know for its tart, citrusy qualities while still balanced by the spicy character of coriander and a mineral-mouthfeel from French sea salt. 5.2% ABV / Normal, IL / RateBeer /Availability: Good (Friday)

903 Beermosa – Next in the line of fruit loaded beers, BeerMosa, speaks to it’s namesake. Orange permeates this beer through and through with a great IPA backbone to please almost any palate. Meridian Hive Lemon – Crisp refreshing lemon draft mead made with orange blossom honey. 5% ABV / Austin, TX / Availability: Good

Lakewood Raspberry Temptress – Imperial milk stout fermented on raspberries. Dark, smooth & sweet. 9.1% ABV / RateBeer / Garland, TX

Texas Keeper Grafter Rosé – The first cider in their Grafter Series—ciders made from heirloom apples and vintage wine grapes. This release is predominately made with Rome Beauty apples, which pressed out a pale orange. They blended the finished cider with a small amount of red wine. The result is a beautifully rounded cider with notes of strawberries and cream, a hint of green apple, and a silky finish. Enjoy this ‘grafted’ cider on a summer afternoon! 8.3% ABV / Austin, TX

Funkwerks White – Rooted in Belgian tradition, this refreshing wheat ale, or witbier, is our interpretation of a classic style. Its hazy pale color and creamy white head result from the ample amounts of wheat used in the recipe. The addition of raw oats contributes to a smooth mouthfeel while the Belgian yeast imparts a complex yet dry finish. Notes of orange zest and lemon with hints of spice. 4.8% ABV / Fort Collins, CO
Firestone Walker Sucaba – Confoundingly unpronounceable yet eminently drinkable—welcome to §ucaba, an epic barrel-­aged English barley wine whose original name was undone by a two­‐bit legal challenge. Big, boozy bourbon and American oak aromas combine with soft chocolate malty undertones. Complex malt flavors are framed in oak with hints of dark chocolate, vanilla, tobacco, coconut and just a touch of dark cherry. 12.5% ABV / RateBeer / Pas Robles, CA
Firestone Walker 22nd (XXII) Anniversary – A beer celebrating their 22 years brewing on California’s Central Coast. Each year, they host a barrel aged blending competition with local winemakers. This year the winning blend is from Sherman Thacher & Daniel Callan of Thacher Winery, along with Terry Hoage & Phil Lamontagne from TH Estate Wines, with help from our friend & master bread maker Arie Litman. It’s a blend of bourbon, rum & gin barrels. The final blend for XXII Anniversary Ale is Stickee Monkee (44%), Parabola (22%), Bravo (22%), Rum Barrel Helldorado (7%), Gin Barrel Helldorado (5%). 12.7% ABV / RateBeer / Pas Robles, CA

Flying Man Brewing Pint Night


Take a break from the heat with Jeremiah from Flying Man this Friday night! We’ll be showcasing their Water Bomber (watermelon wheat) and Air Racer IPA. 

Help us welcome a new brewery to Austin next Friday! Hedgehog Brewing will be introducing their new IPA, Hoptimism.

We still have plenty of our new collaboration with Zilker Brewing Company, Blame It on My Juice! It’s a draft-only hazy, juicy IPA to help you cool off after a long day.

Starting in June, our new Brewery of the Month will be Austin Beerworks! Grab some six packs of their La Verdad, Einhorn, Pearl Snap, Peacemaker, Flavor Country, Fire Eagle, and Bloodwork Orange for $7.99 this Saturday. ABW is also introducing their custom Einhorn sixers with Tropical, Ginger Lime, and Sour Cherry variations…and they’re on sale for $7.99, too! Wowzers!

Real Ale Skullberry – This Strawberry Milkshake IPA has its roots in the New England style of IPA but is modified by a small addition of lactose, which produces a softer mouthfeel and subtle sweetness. German Ariana hops give this IPA a berry-like aroma, which is boosted by late fermentation additions of fresh strawberry puree and Mexican vanilla, taking this beer to skull-splitting levels of awesomeness. 6.2% ABV / Blanco, TX / Availability: Good

Oasis Bravo Company Kolsch – Brewed in collaboration with Ranger Cattle, Bravo Kolsch is a traditional German Kolsch brewed as a salute to our veterans for Veterans Day. 4.5% ABV / Austin, TX / Availability: Decent

Bishop Lemon Squeezy Cider – Easy peazy, lemon squeezy. Pretty simple. Bishop’s cider combined with lemon… and then more lemon. Super refreshing and tart! 7% ABV / Dallas, TX / Availability: Good

Martin House The Castaway – Imperial Pineapple Sour aged in fresh rum barrels for 5 months with over 500 pounds of pineapple puree. The rich vanilla notes from the rum barrels pair perfectly with the juicy and refreshing pineapple. It’s a tropical adventure for your taste buds. 9.5% ABV / Ft. Worth, TX

Texas Keeper Ciderweizen – The goal with the Ciderweizen was to marry the underlying pear and green apple notes from the Crispin and lemon-grapefruit of the Goldrush apples to the floral and spicied notes of old world Wit Beers and German style Hefeweizens. Notes of lemon, pear, coriander, cloves, Hallertau hops with lingering orange peel on the finish. 8.4% ABV / Austin, TX

St. Arnold Amber – A well balanced, full flavored, amber ale. It has a rich, malty body with a pleasant caramel character derived from a specialty Caravienne malt. A complex hop aroma, with a hint of floral and citrus comes from a combination of Cascades and Liberty hops. / 5.5% ABV / Houston, TX
