WhichCraft Beer Store is getting a face lift! Our flagship location on South Lamar is making some changes to better serve our customers. Our entire selection of refrigerated beer has been moved to the front of the store, and we’ve increased the space on our Singles Wall by 10%. These changes have allowed us to expand our selection of Mystery Bags, and will eventually lead to a greater variety of merchandise, like custom t-shirts, glassware and koozies. All this is part of an effort to provide our customers with the largest selection of craft beer in Austin. Come check us out, and talk to us about all the great things happening at WhichCraft.


WhichCraft Tap Room in Mueller is having a busy week. Tomorrow we will be featuring our first kegs of Treaty Oak Brewing in a special Pint Night. These highly anticipated beers are brand new to the market, so come take ’em for a spin and snag a glass to boot. Saturday afternoon we will be hosting Karbach’s Brewmaster as we tap into a rare keg of Cherry BBH. And one week from tonight we will be hosting THE Legal Draft Austin Release Party, and we will be welcome the Owner and Head Brewer to guide a free tasting of their four core beers. Full Sail Papaya IPA – Pale and wheat malts along with healthy additions of Equinox and Cascade hops provide the perfect golden base for the addition of papaya. The result is a refreshing IPA with the subtle essence of papaya. Tropical aromas of citrus, passion fruit, and papaya are well complemented by clean malt notes. 6.2% ABV / Hood River, OR / Availability: Good

Dogfish Head SeaQuench Ale – SeaQuench Ale is a session sour quencher made with lime peel, black lime and sea salt. It’s a citrusy-tart union of three German styles of beer blissfully brewed into one. It was born by brewing a straightforward Kolsch with lots of wheat and Munich Malt, then they brewed a salty Gose with black limes, coriander and our sea salt. They followed it all up with a citrusy-tart Berlinerweiss made with lime juice and lime peel. Austin Eastciders Rum Barrel Aged Cider – This cider was aged in Treaty Oak Distilling rum barrels for six months and has taken on a ruby hue and fun flavors as a result.

Though it’s still an apple-forward cider, you’ll notice it has “prominent notes of oak and vanilla and undertones of molasses,” as well as a mildly tart finish thanks to the barrel-aging. 6.9% ABV / Austin, TX

BFM √225 Saison – 18th Century Historical Ale. Matured in Saint Bon-Chien oak barrels. 6% ABV / Saignelégier, Switzerland / Ratebeer 99

JW Lee’s Sherry Cask Harvest Ale – Matured in wooden casks of Willoughbys Cream Sherry to impart sweet and nutty flavors. Traditionally many fine malt whiskeys have been matured in sherry casks for the enhancement of both flavor and color. 11.5% ABV / Middleton, England / Ratebeer 98

Come laugh it up with some of Austin’s funniest ladies. Enjoy a casual night of comedy with some beer specials to boot. Kitzia Chocolate from Mexico City has arrived in Austin! Come give them a warm welcome, by joining us at WhichCraft Beer Store on South Lamar, This Saturday from 2-4pm for a special beer and floral chocolate pairing. We will be pairing their White Chocolate with Rose, with Save the World Agnus Dei; Milk Chocolate with Geraniums & Juniper, with Epic Big Bad Baptist; and Dark Chocolate with Violets, Lakewood Raspberry Temptress. These chocolates are arriving just in time for Valentine’s, so don’t miss out. Boxes of these gourmet, floral chocolates will be available for purchase during the tasting.

5-8pm – Make WhichCraft Beer Store a part of your Valentine’s plans. We have the folks from Hops & Grain Brewing stopping by to host a free beer tasting and pairing event. Sample delicious craft beers and taste them along side some hand selected Valentine’s snacks.

Tuesday, February 14th

4-6pm – Join us during a special time for a Valentine’s Day, Shacksbury Cider tasting. Try some free samples of the ever popular Dry and Semi-Dry cider in cans. Plus new additions to our store: Arlo, a partial native yeast fermentation cider; Ticonderoga, a cider aged in Whistle Pig rye whiskey barrels; Basque, unfiltered, natural yeast cider; and Dorset, wild fermented cider.

Schilling cider will be behind the bar to guide a free tasting of their London Dry, Grapefruit & Chill, and Reboot Cider.

Thursday, February 16th

The local legends from Live Oak brewing will be stopping by to serve up some samples of Hefeweizen, Big Bark amber lager and Pilz. They’ll also be introducing their Live Oak Gold Pilsner, now in cans.

Funkwerks Deceit – This light-hued beer was inspired by Belgian Tripels and Golden Strong ales. A high percentage of Pilsner malt and a new yeast strain that was used present a lemon character in the aroma. This citrus quality carries into the flavor and finishes with a slight tartness.
