Prairie Karate Chimp – A kickin’ sour ale with mango, apricot, and tangerine.  5.4% ABV / Krebs, OK / Ratebeer: 82/Availability: Decent

Prairie Basic Becky 2019 – A not-so-basic imperial stout with pumpkin, cinnamon, clove, and coriander. 11% ABV /Krebs, OK / Availability: Decent

Ommegang Wine Barrel-Aged Three Philosophers- Within this wine barrel-aged Belgian quad, aromas of roasted malt, dark fruit, molasses, and oak accompany flavors of figs, currants, and chocolate. 4.3% ABV / Fort Collins, CO / Availability: Good

Buffalo Bayou Mexican Hot Chocolate – Mexican Hot Chocolate has all the characteristics of its namesake in traditional stout form. Rich, dark chocolate malt is the foundation for this semi-sweet chocolate stout with a warm, dry finish. Cinnamon and Cayenne add a sweet spice to a chocolatey base. 9.6% ABV / Houston, TX / Availability: Good

Jester King Lagered Farmhouse Beer (2019)- Former JK head brewer, Sean Spiller describes this bottom-fermented farmhouse as a “wonderful, crisp beer with a unique aroma of malted corn and funky fermentation. The long cold aging made this finished beer very clear, although in normal Jester King fashion… some sediment is [present].” 5.5% ABV / Austin, TX / Availability: Good 

Tupps Full Grown Jack –  With the addition of pumpkin spices, Tupps’s full-flavored imperial stout grows both a little bigger and a little warmer. 12.1% ABV / Mickinny, TX / Availability: Good

4th Tap House of Torment –   Inspired by Austin’s most notorious haunted house experience, this amber-colored Pumpkin ale sits at a refreshing 5% ABV, with 240 pounds of fresh pumpkin – personally roasted by 4th Tap’s own pumpkin master, Chris Hamje. 5% ABV / Austin, TX / Availability: Good

Deschutes Black Butte XXXI –  A Celebration of Deschutes’s 31st Anniversary. This imperial porter was inspired by Turkish Coffee and uses cold brew from our Scott Hughes of Third Rock Roasters. 12.2% ABV / Bend, OR / Availability: limited

We love our September Brewery of the Month so much that we’re throwing them a party. This Thursday from 5-8m in our taproom, join the fine folks of Tupps brewing company for pints of an IPA so hazy, you’d think it was juice– THE Tupps DDH IPA #13. Real Ale Blakkr bombers – BLAKKR Imperial Black Ale is the spawn of the long-awaited collaboration between Surly, Three Floyds and Real Ale Brewing Company. Subtle dark malt and toffee character quickly yields to the citrus and tropical notes provided by a staggering amount of hops.  9.99 ABV / Blanco, TX / Availability: Good 

Stone ///Fear.Movie.Lions-  This unfiltered double IPA is juiced up with Loral & Mosaic tropical & citrus notes. The mild bitterness and dry body compliment the style, and the residual maltiness rounds it out. Lingering lime peel and tropical fruit derived from the hops stand out on the finish. 8.5% ABV / Escondido, CA / Availability: Great

Rye Whiskey Barrel-Aged Old Rasputin – Every year North Coast ages a special batch of their ubiquitous Russian Imperial Stout in Bourbon barrels. Real Ale Fresh Haze – A blend of Azacca, Mosaic, and Amarillo hops, added to the whirlpool and also at multiple times in the fermentation process, produces hop flavors and aromas that mimic the addition of ripe tropical fruits. 6.6% ABV / Blanco, TX

Groove Into the Weekend with Destihl Brewing

We’re kicking off Friday night with one rockin’ Destihl pint night, and we gotta say– this lineup is STACKED. For a refreshing opening act, enjoy samples of their Funkengruven kettle-soured IPA, Lynnbrook raspberry Berliner Weisse, and Excommunie Quatre quad. Headlining this event are tall, frosty pints of the tropical Extended Jam IPA. Come early and stay late.

Then, get your game face on. On Tuesday, September 10th, 6-9pm, our friends at the virtual/augmented reality agency, Fair Worlds are turning our taproom into a pop-up VR  arcade. Come grab a pint of something tasty and compete for high scores on immersive games like Beat Saber and Rec Room. Enjoy your first ten minutes of gameplay free.
