New Beers This Week

Back in stock – Avery Maharaja, Destihl Counter Clockweisse (arriving Friday), Destihl Here Gose Nothin’ (arriving Friday).

Hops & Grain Greenhouse #23* – Centennial! All centennial all the time. 7.7% ABV/Austin, TX/No ratings/Availability: plenty/*Arriving Friday

Uncle Billy’s Barton Springs Pale Ale – Our friends down the road just relaunched with new can designs and we’re excited to have their new Barton Springs Pale Ale in stock in time for the holiday weekend. It’s a crisp & citrusy pale ale that pairs well with your favorite watering hole in Zilker Park. 6.6% ABV/Austin, TX/No ratings yet/Availability: plenty

Anderson Valley The Kimmie, The Yink & The Holy Gose – A slightly salty and tart wheat beer that comes in at only 4.2%, this is a great poolside drinker for the holiday weekend. This was the inspiration for Anderson Valley’s immense popular blood orange version released earlier this spring. 4.2% ABV/Boonville, CA/Ratebeer 89/Availability: limited

Dogfish Festina Peche – Dogfish’s sorta-Berliner Weisse summer seasonal, with fresh peaches added. Slightly tart wheat beer with no perceptible hop bitterness, another one that’s great for summer sipping. 4.5% ABV/Milton, DE/Beer Advocate 83/Availability: plenty

Delirium Red – For lovers of the Belgian Delirium Tremens and Nocturnum is a slightly sweet and sour cherry beer called Red. 8% ABV/Melle, Belgium/Beer Advocate 81/Availability: decent

Odell Brombeere Blackberry Gose – Odell really doesn’t make anything that isn’t top notch, and they jumped on the gose traing with their summer 4-pack seasonal. Their twist? Fresh blackberries. 4.8% ABV/Fort Collins, CO/Beer Advocate 87/Availability: limited

Smuttynose Spank Hoppy Saison – Smuttynose’s 21st anniversary beer is a hoppy saison in bombers. Quite dry with a nice hop aroma and bite, just in time for perfect saison weather.  7.5% ABV/Hampton, NH/Beer Advocate 90/Availability: decent

Stone RuinTen – Back in 2012 Stone released a tenth anniversary homage to their Ruination IPA. It proved so popular they’ve brought it back each summer since. This triple IPA is ridiculously hoppy with a strong malt backbone that attempts to stand up to all those hops. Comes in bombers. 10.8% ABV/Escondido, CA/Ratebeer 100/Availability: plenty

Destihl Lynbrook Raspberry Berliner Weisse* – Named after their founder’s family farm, this Berliner Weisse has fresh raspberries added to this sour wheat beer for a tart and fruity finish. Comes in 4 pack cans and will go FAST. 3% ABV/Bloomington, IL/Ratebeer 97/Availability: decent/*Arriving Friday

New Belgium Eric’s Ale – Traditonally one of the beers that gets blended into La Folie, Eric’s ale starts as a lager that is then aged in oak foudres for 1-2 years. A fresh batch is then brewed and blended with peach juice, and blended with the barrel aged version. So this is considered a barrel aged sour peach beer. 7% ABV/Fort Collins, CO/Ratebeer 98/Availability: decent

Victory Moving Parts #4 – The 4th in the Victory Moving Parts rotating IPA series is an interesting hybrid of a wheat & oat grain bill with mosaic and mandarina hops which are both known for their citrusy & grapefruit/orange character. Belgian yeast is added for a fruity ester kick.  7% ABV/Downington, PA/Beer Advocate 85/Availability: plenty
