LIFE: BILLIONAIRES IN SPACE EDITION!

Woowww, y’all! Isn’t it just a delight to see our modern day rocket men work so hard to get their rockets up in space? Nothing to prove here. What wouldn’t one do with miles and miles of pennies… But back down here on earth, this weeks new beverages will be pushing to the outer limits of your taste buds!

The shelves have been blessed with a new round of brews from Põhjala, some of the finest Krieks in the world via Drie Fonteinen, Whistlepig Barrel Aged Shacksbury Cider, the introduction of Toppling Goliath to the ATX, and Blue Owl gave us the Mex Mart Seltzer we didn’t know we needed since our last Martini Monday at Trudy’s. PHEW!

And y’all, don’t sleep on those new wines! I’ve been working hard on mining some gems. We’ve got a super smooth red blend from Maris, Café de Paris make bubbles fit for the gods, and children…. the Elk Cove Pinot Gris and Pike Road Pinot Noir…. oy, vey… thoughtful, beautifully crafted, estate grown fruit that will make you never think of Chuck again. Go give ’em try, why don’t ya?

Circle was a huge hit for our June brewery of the month, so we’re keeping them for July! We’ve got Envy Amber, Blur Hefe, and Alibi Blond all for $7.99!

Time to blast off my fellow space kadets!

Stone Wootstout – While an 11.5% Stout brewed with pecans, flaked rye and partially aged in bourbon barrels certainly stands out on its own, the unique artwork that adorns each release is equally as epic. This year’s insanely awesome label art comes from the talented hands of Tom Raney, who has a history drawing comics at Marvel and DC, from X-Men to Batman

Toppling Goliath Pseudo Sue – This Citra hop pale ale is delicate in body with a mild bitterness in the finish. Ferocious hop aromas of citrus and mango give a refreshing taste that is bright with just enough bite! 5.8%

Toppling Goliath Nugmo – Mosaic, Sabro, Simco, and Amarillo hops join forces to create a bouquet of tropical citrus and pineapple aromas. This bold, hop-forward IPA captivates the senses as you raise a glass in tribute to lord NugMo. May he bless your taste buds with a bounty of flavor. 6.7%ABV

Toppling Goliath Pompeii – Pompeii is our single-hop mosaic IPA. It features mango and pineapple flavors with a medium-body feel. 6.3% ABV

Modern Times Cosmic Rays – This relentlessly tropical, unassailably-bomb spectacle of hazecraft is the progeny of staggering quantities of Simcoe, Citra, Sabro, & Ekuanot hops. The convergence of these lupulin-laden marvels yields an abundance of tangerine, pineapple, coconut, & tropical fruit that enchants from aroma to lingering finish, leaving wistful memories in its wake. 6.5%ABV

Bravus Raspberry Gose NA – This is a light, dry easy-drinker which strikes a great balance between sweet and tart. You’ll love it! 0.5%ABV

Alesmith Oso Under – These California bears have gone down under! We partnered up with our buddies from Alvarado Street Brewery to make this bright and dry west coast-style IIPA featuring an exorbitant amount of Galaxy, Vic Secret, and Nelson hops. When two beloved California breweries draw inspiration from Australian and New Zealand hops, you know the collaboration has to be “Oso Under!” Cheers! 7% ABV

Champion Fruit Baskets – A DIPA-strength west coast IPA hopped exclusively with mosaic hop. Known for its fruity, earthy, and herbal notes, this hop dances with the peel and juices of blood oranges and red grapefruits. 8% ABV

Drie Fonteinen Oude Kriek – 3 Fonteinen Oude Kriek is the result of macerating hand-picked whole sour cherries on young lambic for at least four months, in a proportion of one kilogram of fruit per litre of lambic. The kriek lambic is then blended again with more young lambic to obtain a minimum intensity of 35% fruit, and is bottled immediately afterwards. These bottles are then stored in our cellars for at least five months so that the kriek lambic can develop into a beautiful, traditional, and refined Oude Kriek. With a pleasant tartness and organic notes of almond and cinnamon as it warms in the glass, 3 Fonteinen Oude Kriek, will age perfectly but may lose some of the vibrant red colours and forest fruit aromas. This unfiltered and unpasteurised lambic is all-natural with no artificial juices, syrups, or sugars added. 6% ABV

Drie Fonteinen Intens Rood – 3 Fonteinen “Intens Rood” (Intense Red) is the result of macerating hand-picked whole sour cherries on lambic for at least six months, in a proportion of one kilogram of fruit per litre of lambic, and is then blended again with more lambic to obtain a minimum intensity of 450 grams of fruit per liter. The kriek lambic ferments in the bottle for at least another six months and develops into an intense wine-like fruit lambic. 6% ABV

Jester King Rare Corals – ale refermented w/ cantaloupe, guava, banana, strawberry, toasted coconut, & chamomile. 5.3% ABV

Lone Pint Saison Doug – Belgian Style Farmhouse Ale, pours a sunset yellow with a chalky head, has a sweet bread, lemon zest, earthy aroma, and a hoppy, woodsy, spiced finish. 7.6% ABV

Põhjala Cheesecake Island – An Imperial Baltic Porter inspired by cheesecake – brewed with lemon zest, lactose and vanilla. 10% ABV

Põhjala Vaquero Breakfast – A Mexican campfire-inspired Imperial Stout brewed with Ancho Mulato chillies and aged in Tequila and Bourbon barrels. 12% ABV

Põhjala Vikerkaar – An Imperial Gose brewed with rhubarb, rosemary and Himalayan pink salt. 7.5% ABV

Blue Owl Mexican Martini Seltzer – Inspired by Austin’s own Mexican Martini cocktail, this hard seltzer is made with lime, orange, olive brine, agave, and citric acid. A margarita and a martini mixed in one – bright, salty, and refreshing lime lead the way to a fantastically rich and delicious olive flavor. 5% ABV

Tupps Evil Dankster Rotating – Brewed with distilled lotus and calypso lupulin pellets. ABV 7.1%

Roughhouse Floral Print – This farmhouse blonde ale is dry-hopped with floral hops and estate-grown calendula flowers. Light-bodied with a softly hopped finish

Shacksbury Lo-Ball Whistlepig – Aged in WhistlePig Vermont white oak barrels, used to age their FarmStock whiskey. The resulting Lo-Ball is easygoing at just 4.8% alc/vol. with fresh apple flavor complimented by the dry, spicy character you would expect from rye barrels (or from a Vermonter). If you were to compare it to something, it’s more of a light easy-to-drink highball cocktail than a heavy barrel-aged beer. 4.9% ABV

(512) Citra Summer Pale Ale – Summer Time Pale Ale with Citra Hops. 5.3% ABV

(512) Ez Gose It – Ez Gose It is our take on the classic citrusy and salty beer style, Gose. With fresh lime, lime zest and sea salt added, this is a tart ale that’s grounded with a salty finish. (7%ABV)

Elk Cove Pinot Gris – Their Pinot Gris is hand-harvested from select hillside vineyards in the northern Willamette Valley.  Pinot Gris has long been a focus at Elk Cove – our Estate Vineyard boasts some of the oldest Pinot Gris vines in Oregon, dating back to 1985.  Three of our other estate vineyard sites are also planted with Pinot Gris, including 50 acres on steep sloped Mount Richmond Vineyard in the Yamhill-Carlton AVA. Planted in a high-density format, all our Pinot Gris undergoes shoot and crop thinning for low yields to maximize quality and concentration. 13% ABV

Château Maris Rouge Pays d’Oc – Château Maris is a certified biodynamic estate in the Minervois in southern France. Winemaker Robert Eden describes it as his lunch wine, something that will pair broadly and that doesn’t sport too much alcohol or grippy tannins. 13% ABV

Pike Road Pinot Noir – The 2019 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir showcases a beautiful ruby red color with aromas of black currant layered with cinnamon, clove spice, and rose petal.
