WhichCraft is Going to Austin Untapped Fest and We Want You to Come Too!

WhichCraft Beer Store is proud to be a part of the Austin Untapped Festival. This Texas born event gives you the opportunity to meet representatives from more than 75 different breweries, sample hundreds of unique beers and enjoy some incredible live music, all while taking in the rustic scenery of Carson Creek Ranch. The festival is one day only and will be held on May 14th. If you haven’t grabbed your tickets yet, you can get them right here.

We at WhichCraft are highlighting one of our favorite Midwestern Breweries by giving you the opportunity to bundle and save! Boulevard Brewing Co burst onto the craft beer scene in 1989 and took Kansas City by storm with a variety of IPAs and the now hometown favorite, KC Pils. Since then they have become a nationally recognized brewery with delicious year-round beers and sought after seasonal releases.

While supplies last, select Boulevard 750s will be reduced in price, and the more you buy the more you save! The bottles are at a reduced price of $13. Buy 2 bottles and they are $12/each. Buy 3 bottles and they are $11/each. Buy 4 or more bottles and they are $10/each.

Beer styles include; southern table beer, imperial session IPA, imperial brown ale with cocoa, session rye with hibiscus, revolutionary pale ale and robust stout. More info on the beers here.

Real Ale Brewer’s Cut Project 24 Session IPA – This Session IPA uses English Golden Promise base malt, to add unique malt character, without the sweetness of caramel malts that are often used in IPA. The star of the hop lineup is the new variety Eureka!, which brings bright notes of peach and tropical citrus to balance the clean bitterness. 4.5% ABV / Blanco, TX / Availability: Limited

Avery Expletus – Sour ale aged in tequila barrels with cherries added. 5.9% ABV / Boulder, CO / Ratebeer 98 / Availability: Limited / Limit 1 per person

Sierra Nevada Hoptimum – Hops, hops and more hops are the stars of this big, whole-cone Imperial IPA. Resinous ‘new-school’ and exclusive hop varieties carry the bold and aromatic nose. The flavor follows the aroma with layers of aggressive hoppiness, featuring notes of grapefruit rind, rose, lilac, cedar and tropical fruit – all culminating in a dry and lasting finish. 10.4% ABV / Chico, CA / Ratebeer 99 / Availability: Decent

Full Sail Blood Orange Wheat – Blood Orange is brewed with 2-Row Northwest Pale, malted and unmalted wheat, with a hint of citrus flavor. Blood orange, with its berry/orange notes, provides a delicate twist to this refreshing brew. A medium malt body with subtle orange and a crisp wheat finish. 5.2% ABV / Hood River, OR / Availability: Plenty

Lagunitas Lucky 13 – Hi-gravity, auburn American strong ale. 8.56% ABV / Petaluma, CA / Ratebeer 98 / Availability: Limited

Sierra Nevada Summerfest – Summerfest is a delightfully refreshing example of a traditional style lager beer. While lighter in body than some ales, Summerfest displays significant hop aroma and a tangy hop bite. The long lagering period adds a smoothness that makes this beer a great summertime treat. 5% ABV / Chico, CA / Beeradvocate 83 / Availability: Plenty

Real Ale Four Squared (New Packaging) – This beer is the basic Fireman’s recipe, with more premium 2-row malted barley to bring this blonde ale up to 16°P, then massive charges of hops are added to give some bulk to this burly blonde. The clean, dry finish and the signature Crystal and Glacier hops are still there to add to that Herkules, Amarillo and a round of dry-hopping, the result is notes of citrus and a substantial hop flavor and aroma. 7.2% ABV / Blanco, TX / Ratebeer 89 / Availability: Plenty

*Clown Shoes Hephaestus – Hephaestus is a 14 percent ABV bourbon barrel-aged Russian imperial stout that uses the Ipswich, Mass.-based company’s Fistful of Unidragon (14 percent ABV) as a base before adding espresso from Finca Santa Barbara beans sourced from Apaneca, El Salvador. The new beer is a collaboration between Clown Shoes, beer bar The Hay Merchant and Blacksmith Coffee, which ‘pulled 1,000 shots of espresso and packaged them air tight” for use in the beer. Both The Hay Merchant and Blacksmith Coffee are based in Houston. 14% ABV / Ipswich, MA / Availability: Limited / *Arriving Friday

*Abita Bourbon Street – Bourbon Street Rye Pale Ale is brewed with pale and Munich malts as well as rye. The malts impart a sweet flavor and an aroma of bread and nuts. Centennial hops give the beer a pleasant citrus flavor and aroma. After fermentation, the beer is cold aged before bourbon barrel aging begins. During barrel aging, the brew absorbs the flavors of the barrel such a vanilla, oak, and bourbon. These barrel flavors pair well with the sweet flavors of the malted barley and bread flavors of the rye. 9.5% ABV / Abita Springs, LA / Availability: Decent / *Arriving Friday

*Abita Select Tripel Haze – A take on the ever popular Purple Haze. It is a strong golden lager made with malted barley and wheat. It is hopped with German Perle hops to give the beer a delicate hop flavor. After the beer is filtered, a generous amount of fresh raspberry puree is added. This gives the beer a tartly sweet taste and aroma as well as a bright purple color and haze. 8% ABV / Abita Springs, LA / Availability: Decent / *Arriving Friday
