New Beers This Week

Alaskan Coffee Brown* – A collaboration with local coffee roaster Heritage Coffee in Juneau, the coffee is quite present in this nutty & roasty brown ale. English ales are typically malty-sweet, often with a rich, caramel or toffee-like character. 7% ABV/Juneau, AK/Ratebeer 85/Availability: plenty/*Arriving Thursday

Stone Double Bastard*
– Stone’s even more aggressive cousin of Arrogant Bastard is Double Bastard, a gigantically hoppy & malty American strong ale. Caramel sweetness backed up by Stone’s stereotypically hop-forward finish. 11% ABV/Escondido, CA/Ratebeer 100/Availability: plenty/*Arriving Thursday

Green Flash Segal Ranch Session IPA* – Segal Ranch Session IPA features Tomahawk, Centennial and Cascade hops that were hand-selected by Green Flash’s Brewmaster exclusively from Segal Ranch in Yakima, Washington. The verdant pungency and citrus aromatics from Tomahawk hops serve as the perfect base layer to allow the flavors of bright floral and pine sap from Centennial hops to emerge on the palate. 4.5% ABV/San Diego, CA/No ratings yet/Availability: decent/*Arriving Thursday

Sierra Nevada Narwhal
* – Sierra’s ever popular imperial stout, Narwhal features incredible depth of malt flavor, rich with notes of espresso, baker’s cocoa, roasted grain and a light hint of smoke. Aggressive but refined with a velvety smooth body and decadent finish, Narwhal will age in the bottle for years to come. 10.2% ABV/Chico, CA/Ratebeer 99/Availability: plenty/*Arriving Thursday

Breckenridge 471 Double IPA Bourbon Barrel Aged – Breckenridge’s special releases never disappoint, and this time around they took their 471 Double IPA and aged it in Buffalo Trace & Wild Turkey barrels. 9.2% ABV/Denver, CO/No ratings yet/Availability: very limited/*Arriving Thursday

Saint Arnold Pumpkinator – Pumpkinator is brewed with a combination of pale two row, caramel and black malts, Cascade and Liberty hops for a background hop flavor and pumpkin for a rich mouthfeel. Molasses, brown sugar and spices make it feel like you just walked into your mom’s kitchen while she was cooking 37 pumpkin pies. WILL ONLY BE SOLD STARTING AT 6PM ON WEDNESDAY 10/21 UNTIL SOLD OUT. See details about our tasting tonight on the release of previous cellared years. 10% ABV/Houston, TX/Ratebeer 98/Availability: plenty but will go fast

Austin Beerworks Heavy Machinery Belgian IPA – The Heavy Machinery series is back! This time with Belgian IPA. Belgian yeast’s fruity esters sit well with the tropical fruit notes from the hops ABW chose to use. You’d never guess this beer comes in at 9.5% given how easily it goes down. 9.5% ABV/Austin, TX/Ratebeer 92/Availability: plenty

Alpine Hoppy Birthday* – Green Flash partnered with Alpine Brewing within the past year, and now we all benefit from the partnership by Alpine’s extremely highly rated and sought after IPAs finally making it out of Southern California. Hoppy Birthday is Alpine’s anniversary session IPA with a blend of 6 hops. 5.25% ABV/Alpine, CA/Ratebeer 99/Availability: decent/*Arriving Thursday

Alpine Nelson* – A Golden Rye IPA featuring an outstanding hop from New Zealand, Nelson Sauvin, is generously used throughout the brewing and dry-hopping of this unique beer. European rye is added for a smooth, malty addition to flavor. 7% ABV/Alpine, CA/Ratebeer 100/Availability: decent/*Arriving Thursday

Founders Breakfast Stout – IT’S BACK! Jody’s favorite winter seasonal is simply the best nightcap you can hope for. Double chocolate, coffee, oatmeal stout. Just perfection. 8.3% ABV/Grand Rapids, MI/Ratebeer 100/Availability: plenty
