We’ve worked with our friends at Victory Brewing again for another screaming deal. While supplies last, we’re offering 6 pack bottles of their Victory Festbier for only $5.99! Limit 1 per customer so we can spread the love around. This easy drinking Märzen lager is perfect for this fake fall weather and whatever you have planned this weekend. Normal retail price was $11.50.

Wurstfest 2015 road trip is ON! Details and tickets for Saturday, Nov 7th are here and Saturday the 14th are here. It’s $60 including all taxes and fees, though you need to cover Wurstfest tickets and brewery tasting fees (TABC rules). On the 7th we’ll be visiting Middleton & New Braunfels Brewing Companies prior to heading to the festival, and on the 14th it’ll be Guadalupe & New Braunfels. This trip was a blast last year; please come with us!

The always smiley William Bearden from Hops & Grain will be at the tasting bar releasing the “new” Alteration – H&G’s new fall seasonal! You may recognize this roasty & nutty altbier but they’ve since moved it to the seasonal lineup. We’ll also be tasting A Pale Mosaic and Porter Culture

Friday, October 16th – 6-8pm

Deep Ellum has some stellar releases we’ll be sampling out for our evening tasting. The Hop Seeker (see below) is a wet hop IPA, the Four Swords quad got the cabernet barrel treatment, and the year-round Deep Ellum IPA and Double Brown Stout will also be featured.

Tuesday, October 20th 

Justin Sutherland from Avery will be here tasting some Avery faves: Liliko’i Kepolo (passion fruit witbier), Hog Heaven barleywine, Avery IPA and Maharaja Double IPA. We’ll also be cellar releasing some great barrel aged stuff from previous months/years! There are simply too many to list.

Wednesday, October 21st 

The most epic Pumpkinator event of all time. Mary from Saint Arnold will be here pouring free samples of various things and we’re doing an insane cellar release of four years of Pumpkinator as well as tons of Bishops Barrel and Divine Reserve. See here for details.

Thursday, October 22nd

Jeremiah from Uinta will be back in the house dishing out free samples of Detour Double IPA, Hop Nosh, Punk’n and the outstanding black quad aged in bourbon barrels Labyrinth.

Rahr & Sons Drahthaar Double IPA – Hops dominate, but a sweet maltiness is there just enough to compliment and balance. Rahr & Sons Tenderfoot Barleywine – A hybrid American Barleywine using an English Ale Yeast. Saint Arnold Art Car IPA – St Arnold’s new year-round Art Car IPA is an American IPA featuring a blend of both new and old hop varieties from the Pacific Northwest.
The nose is a blend of apricot and tropical fruit and mango. The taste starts with a big bitter blood orange that morphs into mangos and sweet tropical fruits. 7.1% ABV/Houston, TX/No ratings yet/Availability: plenty

Deschutes Jubelale – Don’t look now! The first holiday beer is hitting the shelf, even though it’s literally 96 degrees outside right now. At least Jubelable is one of the better holiday beers. A dark, malty celebration ale with layered flavors and beautifully balanced hopping. Jubelale pours deep garnet in color, medium bodied, with notes of chicory, earth, spice and fruit. 6.7% ABV/Bend, OR/Ratebeer 95/Availability: decent

Deep Ellum Cabernet Barrel Aged 4 Swords Quad – Deep Ellum took their medal-winning Belgian Quad and aged it for over a year in Cabernet barrels from Calais Winery. Will go fast! 9.5% ABV/Dallas, TX/No ratings yet/Availability: very limited

Deep Ellum Hop Seeker – Deep Ellum’s first quarterly rotating IPA release is Hop Seeker, a 100% wet hopped IPA. Centennial fresh hops in the boil were followed by Equinox dry hop. Equinox is a newer variety that has a pronounced aroma profile with citrus, tropical fruit, floral and herbal characteristics, including lemon, lime and papaya. 5.6% ABV/Dallas, TX/No ratings yet/Availability: plenty

Victory Vital IPA –Vital IPA is Victory’s newest IPA release in 6 pack cans, and is packed full of fresh, crisp and fruity notes driven by whole flower American hops and robust German malts. Simcoe, Citra & Chinook lend aromas of pine, tropical fruits and stone fruits. 6.5% ABV/Downington, PA/Ratebeer 85/Availability: plenty

Stone Vertical Epic – Stone is celebrating their upcoming 20th anniversary by reaching back into the recipe archives and bringing out a bunch of fan favorites from past years.
