My goodness y’all, I can’t believe this year is coming to a close! It’s been such a pleasure to serve you all those delicious beverages over the last twelve months. I’m looking forward to all the fun plans we’re cooking up for 2022.

But we still have almost two weeks of 2021 left! And boy’oh’boy are we going to send it out with a bang. Join us on New Year’s Eve as we play some games and have a couple of food specials. It’ll be the best craft beer & wine party in town!

There’s lots of new additions to our hoppy section on the draft wall. If you feel like going big, you won’t have to search “To the ends of the Earth ” for a DIPA as good as the one from Meanwhile. Looking for something hazy? We’ve got you covered with a fresh keg of Pure Stoke from Independence & a Blueberry & Lime fruited hazy pale from Bear King. There’s also a super silly Big Red soda inspired sour & very yummy Mexican Chocolate Stout from Independence.

Our last pint night of the year is Thursday with Martin House! Come out 530-8 for discounted pours of their Blueberry Muffin Imperial Sour and some swag! To make sure you’ve got plenty of time for your holiday shopping, we’ll be open our normal hours this week, except we will be closing at 6pm on Christmas Eve and for all of Christmas day.

For our Brewery of the month, we are happy to have the fine folks from Texas Beer Company filling our shelves. For JUST $8.99 a six pack we have their Pecos Amber & K9 Lager.

Adelbert’s Stupid Juice– Penta hopped super juicy hazy IPA that hits 6.1%-ABV

Avery Old Jubilation – A winter strong ale with a gorgeous mahogany hue, a hint of hazelnuts, and a finish reminiscent of mocha and toffee. No spices, just a perfect blend of five specialty malts. 8.3%ABV

Dust Bowl Confused Therapist IIPA – They applied the Hazy beer processes to Therapist and added Vermont ale yeast for a Therapist with more pineapple and tropical notes and even bigger aroma than the original ABV 10.4%

Dust Bowl Therapist -Science will try to tell you that the human tongue cannot detect more than 80 IBU of bittering; however, this hop-centric Imperial IPA certainly will not leave you wanting for more. Big, bold hop aromas and flavors of citrus, tropical fruits, and apricot are bracketed by malty sweetness. 10.4% ABV

Modern Times Sparkle Wolf – Pear, watermelon, west coast. With el dorado, mosaic hops. And it’s clear 6.7%ABV

Independence Choc Mool – Fall into this flavorful Mexican-style Chocolate Stout infused with the perfect touch of cacao nibs, cocoa powder, vanilla, cinnamon, and raw Piloncillo sugar. A prime choice for a winter warmer. 6.5% ABV

Saint Arnold Bourbon Barrel French Press – An imperial coffee porter brewed with Java Pura Coffee Roasters Espresso blend coffee aged in Woodford Reserve Barrels. 9.9%ABV

Boulevard Stuff Of Legend– This beer is our homage to all of those wonder-filled cookies. While you can’t twist, lick and dunk, there is still fun to be had in this big barrel-aged stout with just the right blend of chocolate and vanilla, and creamy filling of lactose. 13.3%ABV

Boulevard Magic Drip – Somewhere on the fringe of alchemy exists a fantastical marriage of magic and science. Behold this mystical blend of brewing –born from the binding of creativity and creation. Bold and beautiful, delivering doses of delight and delirium, it’s bound to put a spell on you. Weathered Souls Private Pilsner – With Hallertau Mittlefruh Hops, double decocted with 6 weeks in lager tanks. 4.6%ABV

Weathered Souls References You Don’t Understand – Hazelnut infused Coffee, Roasted Hazelnuts, and Dark Chocolate 11.5%ABV

Vista Lorenzo – Inspired by the traditional South-of-the-border hot chocolate, combining the dark chocolate malt base with Ceylon cinnamon, Madagascar vanilla beans and touch of heat and smoke from guajillo and ancho chili peppers. 9.1%ABV

Vista Fireside – Inspired by our short and sweet Texas winter, we’ve created a small batch imperial stout to keep you warm around the fire pit. This smooth and boozy ale was aged for over a year in freshly-dumped Balcones “1” Texas Single Malt barrels from Balcones Distilling in Waco, TX. The chocolate and roasted malt base marries perfectly with Balcones’ 100% Texas unpeated malted barley whiskey to create a rich, chocolately beer perfect for the winter season. 11.6%ABV

Vista Treaty – This smooth oatmeal stout was aged for 12 months in Ghost Hill Texas Bourbon barrels from our neighbors Treaty Oak Distilling. Both beer and bourbon are made with 100% Texas-grown grains, thanks to TexMalt and Barton Springs Mill. Rich dark and roasty malt notes give way to tobacco and toffee flavors and a beautiful oak finish. The result is a smooth-sipping stout with true Texas character. Inspired by the famous 500-year old tree in Austin, under which Stephen F. Austin signed a treaty which helped form Texas. A sapling descended from the original Treaty Oak is planted here in the beer garden. 8.1%ABV

Bruery White Chocolate – A tasteful treatment of cacao nibs and hand-processed vanilla beans lace the golden waves of this wheatwine-style ale with a subtle savoriness reminiscent of white chocolate. Notes of coconut, honey, caramel, and vanilla intertwine seamlessly in this bourbon barrel-aged treat. 14% ABV

Equal Parts Nocturna -Robust Porter. 7.9% ABV

Untitled Art Barrel Aged Loaded French Toast – Imperial stout with maple syrup, cinnamon, cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, and milk sugar. 13.5% ABV

Untitled Art Pixie Mix Mystic Ice – Hard Seltzer with Gatorade Frost-inspired natural flavors. 5.5% ABV

Untitled Art Hazier TIPA – The Hazier Triple IPA is back! To give the beer a twist and a slightly different taste, we used Motueka, Nelson, Citra and a lesser known hop (HORT 4337) to really punch up that tropical flavor you come to expect from our hazy bois. And this is our juiciest IPA yet, scouts honor  . 9.8% ABV

Untitled Art Watermelon Pineapple Smoothie Seltzer – To commentate the winter solstice and shortest day of the year knocking on our doors, we crafted a little bit of summer sunshine with the 5% ABV Watermelon Pineapple Lime Smoothie Seltzer. This gluten-free hard seltzer was brewed with over 10,000 pounds of watermelon and pineapple puree, and a zippy dash of lime, to give you that real full flavored watermelon juicelike sip. 5% ABV

Untitled Art Sweet & Sour Tangerine IPA – They’re back with our lightly soured Berliner Weiss-style IPA! Crafted with 2,000 lbs of tangerine slices, and complimented by pineapple, apple and orange, this 7% IPA is the perfect pair to the approaching winter citrus season. Whether it be a sidecar to brunch or a brightening fireside sipper, this beer is sweet, it’s sour, it’s oh so good. 7% ABV

Untitled Art Blackberry Cobbler a la Mode – Our pie-inspired beer is back and better than ever with the newest 6.5% Blackberry Cobbler à La Mode. We heaped in loads of blackberry puree to pump pure fruit flavor into the beer. Plus feverishly stirred in graham crackers, pie crusts and vanilla to encase the fruit is pie-like perfection. Pick up a four-pack, your tongue and tummy will thank you.

Martin House Sweet & Sour Plum – Sweet and Sour Plums 7% – Sour Plum Beer with Lactose. If there’s ever a time to bust out a plum beer, then this is it. If you’re a fan of our pie/pastry sours (Lemon Icebox, Blackberry Cobbler, etc) then you know exactly what you’re getting into with this one!

Symbol Double West Coast IPA – hoppy | bitter | piney 10.4%ABV

Ingenious Smarty Chocolate Covered Cherry – Tart Berliner conditioned on cacao nibs and tart cherries. 6.8% ABV

3 Nations Devour Mexican Chocolate – Mexican Chocolate Imperial Stout. 8.3% ABV

Ingenious Double Marshmallow Vanilla Dreams – Imperial milk stout conditioned on mass amounts of vanilla beans and marshmallows. 10%ABV

Ingenious White Chocolate PB Cream Ale – Cream Ale conditioned on white chocolate and peanut butter. 5.2%ABV

Zilker Bad Wrap IPA – This time we used a dank blend of Galaxy, Mosaic, Mosaic cryo, and Azacca cryo hops bursting with tropical notes and bright citrus. We decided to lighten up the body a touch to leave a nice dry finish, extenuating the quality of these hops

Fable Farm Rosa – Rosa 2019, 750mL. 127 cases made. Ingredients: blackcurrants, foraged cider apples, wild cultures of yeast + bacteria.

This low alcohol mild sparkler is a refreshing accompaniment with breakfast, lunch or dinner. Blackcurrants were steeped in cider for a month that was than aged in barrels for a year. Upon bottling, young fermenting cider was added to the cuvee for a mild secondary fermentation in bottle. It’s become a favorite in our tasting room. ABV 5.91%


New Wines This Week

Peaux Rouges San Jose Rosé – Created ex nihilo at the dawn of 2017, Peaux Rouges lodges itself in the woods somewhat hidden from Monthou sur Cher, Loir et Cher. A micro production of bottles, highly drinkable and thirst quenching without embellishment nor artifice. Half-Loire, half-Ardèche, but all vinified in the 41, the vintages here are well treated – because less is more, even for organic – with no added sulphur (except for one, for the wine grower got scared of his own shadow, it happens sometimes when one lingers too much in the woods). Never in a hurry, one watches out for the grapes first, then awaits the wine, for it takes its own time. When it’s ready, the wine is bottled by gravity, and then, one must wait a little longer, or not at all, it depends. ’Cause in the end, wine’s the boss!

Tasting notes: unfiltered, lively texture, notes of citrus/honey/flowers, pool party and patio friendly.

Echo Bay Synoptic Red Blend – When the Kenyon’s bought the property in 1967, the former owners had torn out an aging apple orchard and the land was left fallow. In 1978, they planted alfalfa first and a mixture of grasses to raise a few cattle and chickens. A large house was built in 1989 with an apartment on top for them and communal living quarters for the family below. Their 4 children (3 sons + 1 daughter) and their grandchildren would spend the summers here and commute to work.

In 2013 their daughter Kathy and her husband Mark Rufiange felt that they had the time and energy to plant a vineyard in their retirement, and her brothers supported them. Kathy and Mark’s daughter, Kelsey, took a keen interest. Kelsey graduated from Lincoln’s Viticulture and Oenology program and has worked in vineyards and wineries in New Zealand, Sonoma, and Australia before returning to Echo Bay full-time working both the vineyard and winery.

A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Carmenère, Petit Verdot & Sangiovese

Meanwhile Ends of the EarthWe teamed up with our buddies at Deschutes Brewery to bring you the latest and greatest in hop technology. The secret? More Hops. Luckily, you don’t have to go the ends of the earth to enjoy this triple dry-hopped double IPA .

Bear King Blueberry Hills Hazy Pale AleHazy Pale Ale with Blueberry and Lime. 5.5% ABV

Islla St. Rojo Sour–  A staple of Texas Sundays with some barbacoa tacos, this berliner is finished on real Big Red syrup. Perfect to start your Sunday morning or any other day! We don’t judge. 6.3% ABV

Petrus Nitro Quad- POUR HARD!! This Quadruple is brewed with 5 different types of malts and one peeled and roasted barley. We used nitrogen instead of CO2 for a better result. Nitrogen provides a rounder taste and a better mouthfeel. Cheers to the only Belgian Quad on nitro
