In(dependence) like a Lion

Flip over the next page in that hunky firemen calendar, we’re on to March, baby. This means a new Brewery of the Month, and we’re happy to reveal that it’s Austin’s own Independence Brewing! And even better, we have two different offers. First, Cowboys from Helles, Power & Light, and Austin Amber will be $6.99/6pk; then, we’re offering Stash, Liberty Lunch, and Red Bud for $7.99/6pk.

Then, don’t miss our event with Community Brewing at Mueller on Friday, 3/2. Along with the usual Buy the Beer, Keep the Glass special, we’ll have Oaked Mosaic and Public Enemy #1 on tap. The latter is their award-winning Public Ale aged for 5 months in California White Burgundy barrels with three Brettanomyces strains and tart cherries. It’ll run from 5-8, don’t miss it.

Finally, we have something fun planned for Saturday at Lamar. First, we’ll be sampling some of New Belgium’s beers: their Tartastic and Voodoo Ranger Hazy IPA. But because we also like to kick it old school, we sample of the beers of old Belgium. Or, well, current Belgium: Cuvee Jacobins Rouge and Tripel Karmeliet. New Belgium, old Belgium. Get it? Yeah, you get it. Now just don’t miss it.
