May We Have More Austin Beerworks?

We’re rolling into May with style for our Brewery of the Month. It’s Austin Beerworks! Six packs of all their beers for $7.99. If it’s got a big A, it’s on sale, so come in and pick up a six pack or two now.

And speaking of style, we’re less than a week away from the return of our Style Night with the Beer Museum? Don’t miss this upcoming session Monday, May 7, at 7pm, as we taste and discuss the nuances of West Coast vs. New England IPAs. Run by our very own Certified Cicerone Chuck Stephens, we’ll cover the hops, malts, intricacies, and histories of IPAs from Old England to California to New England, while we sip on three classic West Coast IPAs and three fresh New England styles. For $20, get 3-4oz pours of all six beers as we discuss them as a group.  Check here for the Event page and to buy tickets.

Finally, holy cow, folks. We have some great tastings coming up. Don’t miss Hi Sign at Lamar on Friday night. Along with their core lineup, we’ll be sampling their taproom-exclusive Super Alphafragilistic IIPA. And next Tuesday, visit Lamar to see the new big flavors and big beers Buffalo Bayou has to offer, like their tripel Pineappel! Pineappel! Pineappel!

New Beers on Draft at WhichCraft Taproom

Full Draft List Available on our Website

New Holland Dragon’s Milk– Dragon’s Milk is a 17th Century term used to describe the strong beer usually reserved for royalty. This strong ale was aged in oak for over 120 days. The aging process extracts flavors from the wood, which contribute to its complex character. Hints of bourbon flavor perfectly compliment its roasted malts to produce a beer fit for a King. 11% ABV / Holland, MI / RateBeer 98

Weathered Souls West Coast IPA – Citra, Simcoe, Galaxy, and Mosaic Hops. 7% ABV / San Antonio, TX

Weathered Souls Prim – A tart, fruity, herbaceous, and refreshing sour ale. Aromas of plum and cardamom are followed by tart and fresh fruit flavors after aging in wine barrels for 3-4 months. 6% ABV / Bloomington, IN

Save the World Rex Servus – A light beer with fabulous flavor, hint of lemon tartness and utterly refreshing. 4.2% ABV / Marble Falls, TX

Live Oak Weisser Rauche – Weisser Rauch, or White Smoke, is a marriage of a traditional German Hefeweizen and a Rauchbier. The smoke is more restrained than in some of their other offerings in order to allow the weizen yeast character to come forward. The smokiness plays on the spicy phenols and the fruity esters to both increase complexity and to fully integrate itself with the beer’s more familiar flavors. This beer is for the connoisseur and the smoke beer novice alike. 5.3% ABV / Austin, TX

Red Horn Supafly Jimmy Snicka – Chocolate, peanuts, caramel, some lactose sugar, and a dash of salt. It all comes together in a chewy milk stout. 7.7% ABV / Cedar Park, TX

Tupps DDH IPA – Hoppy but smooth IPA. Cloudy in the glass. 6.9% ABV / McKinney, TX

Blue Owl Little Boss – A sour session wheat beer. Think sunny summer day. This lil’ guy is a refreshing clean wheat with a light sour twist. Straw color, wheat, light, tart, effervescent, refreshing. 3.4% ABV / Austin, TX

Founders Breakfast Stout (Nitro) – The coffee lover’s consummate beer. Brewed with an abundance of flaked oats, bitter and imported chocolates, and two types of coffee, this stout has an intense fresh-roasted java nose topped with a frothy, cinnamon-colored head that goes forever. 8.3% ABV / Grand Rapids, MI / RateBeer 100

Lakewood French Quarter Temptress  The Temptress’ nod to the crescent city, FQ Temptress features green (pre-roasted) coffee beans in bourbon barrels for months, which are then roasted and added to the beer. Chicory is also added for a bit of that New Orleans coffee feel. 9.1% ABV / Garland, TX / RateBeer 99
