Meet the Adelbert’s Brewers, and Viva El Sputniko!

We have a real treat lined up for tomorrow, Friday 2/16, at Mueller from 5-8pm. Not only are we offering samples of their Travelin’ Man and Scratchin’ Hippo on tap and other packaged beer for sampling, but we’ll also have brewers Mark Gove and Cory Hebert on hand for this event. Say hi and talk shop as you meet some of the faces behind this great brewery. 

And keep picking up six packs of our February Brewery of the Month: Austin’s own Blue Owl Brewing. We’re offering Little Boss, Spirit Animal, and Van Dayum for $6.99 all friggin’ month.

Thursday, February 15th
We welcome in Rentsch as they sample their line of cans along with their new DDH (Double Dry-Hopped) IPA.

Friday, February 16th
Come by to try some beers from Martin House. It’s a full lineup, sampling their Kafkaesque, Imperial Texan, Salty Lady, and Hibiscus Saison.

Saturday, February 17th
We have a box…A BOX!…of Funkwerks beers we want to sample. And you should also sample. Then buy. In this Funkwerks box: their Saison, Raspberry Provincial, Pineapple Provincial, and Blueberry Provincial.  

Tuesday, February 20th
Austin’s own Strange Land visits Lamar to sample their Grand Cru, Fleur d’Orange, and Quad.

Wednesday, February 21st
Kenna from Big Bend drops by to sample cans of their Terlingua Gold, La Frontera, and National Park Hefeweizen.

Thursday, February 22nd
We’re happy to see Last Stand’s Coffee Porter in cans, so come by to sample it, along with their Saaz Blonde and Simcoe Pale Ale.

5-8pm: We have something special on tap tonight: Left Hand’s Saison au Miel. Drop by and have Justin pour you a sample of this great honey saison and some of their other canned goodies.

Friday, February 16th
5-8pm: We have a special event planned, welcoming in Adelbert’s to taste their Travelin’ Man and new Scratchin’ Hippo Amber on tap, along with some of their packaged beers. We’ll also have brewers Mark Gove and Cory Hebert during the event to meet and talk beer.

Saturday, February 17th
3-6pm: It’s a mid-afternoon delight with Tupps. Come by to meet Sahara as she pours samples of their Double Dry-Hopped IPA on draft, and sample their Ella and Northbound 75.

Wednesday, February 21st
7:00pm:  Geeks Who Drink Trivia Night! Weekly free event that puts your useless knowledge to the test. Prizes and good times are included!

Thursday, February 22nd
5-8pm: Guys. Guys. Holy cow. We have a combo event you don’t want to miss. Come by to sample Stone Xocoveza and ABW’s El Sputniko on tap, and try some of their cans for on-site consumption. We’ll also have a special offer for the night: warm your bones with 5oz pours of both beers, and a mug of Mexican hot chocolate, for $10.

Paulaner Weizen-Radler Non-Alcoholic – This mix is in a class of its own – combining the great taste of Paulaner Hefe-Weizen with natural effervescent lemonade in a non-alcoholic alternative for refreshingly fruity yet malty taste. NoLa Prytania – Brewed in the traditional British style, this Imperial Porter is big, bold and rich, reminiscent of high-quality bittersweet chocolate both in color (very dark but not black) and in sweetness (not overly sweet but not unsweet). Brazos Valley Gettin’ By – Salted Caramel Porter on nitro. 6% ABV / Brenham, TX 

(512) Brett Stingo -“Stingo” is the name given to the strong stuff hidden behind the bar in northern English pubs. Aged and matured in oak barrels, these special ales are saved only for those patrons lucky enough to know about them and ask. (512) Stingo is an English Strong Ale aged 24 months in new American oak barrels with Brett yeast added for an additional depth of flavor. The medium toast oak lends a wonderful vanilla aroma, a very slight sweet smokey flavor and added great depth of character and smoothness to the malt of this old strong ale. 7.2% ABV / Austin, TX

Buffalo Bayou Red Velvet Stout – Richly decadent, this voluptuous dessert will seduce and ravage your taste buds, then cuddle with them in the afterglow. 6.3% ABV / Houston, TX

Tupps Double Hop Rocket Dry-Hopped IPA (Saturday) – IPA with Galaxy, Citra, and Bru-1 hops. 6.7% ABV / McKinney, TX

St. Elmo Carl Kolsch – A pale golden beer. Full-flavored yet very drinkable. Perfectly refreshing for the eight-month Texas summer. Lakewood French Quarter Temptress – The Temptress’ nod to the crescent city, FQ Temptress features green (pre-roasted) coffee beans in bourbon barrels for months, which are then roasted and added to the beer.
