Saturday is National Record Store Day, and we at WhichCraft are big fans of spinning vinyl, so using Dogfish Head’s Beer to Drink Music To as our muse, we’ve decided to make a day of it, also. Come visit both locations as we jam records all day – including ones you bring – and sample and tap various Dogfish Head beers.
First, at South Lamar, we’ll have a tasting of several Dogfish Head beers, including both their fresh and cellared 120 Minute IPA. They even donated a custom record player for the occasion! Then at Mueller, we’ll tap a keg of 120 Minute and sell individual bottles, all while spinning your tunes. Yes, read that again, your eyes didn’t deceive you. We’re playing good tunes and drinking great beer all day at WhichCraft, and we want you to be a part of it. After you pick up that new Kendrick on vinyl or an old Tom Waits import, come by either location to keep the music going.

4-6pm – We welcome in Deep Ellum Brewing Co., our April Brewery of the Month, as they sample their full lineup, along with their Numb Comfort barley wine.
6-8pm – Rahr & Sons Brewing Company drops by to offer tastings of their Dadgum IPA, Texas Red, and Blonde Lager.
Friday, April 21st
We end the work week with Great Divide opening their full lineup of beers, including the mighty Yeti. You don’t want to miss it.
Saturday, April, 22nd
2-4pm – We’ll be sampling some Dogfish Head beers in celebration of National Record Store Day: Flesh & Blood, Beer to Drink Music To, SeaQuench Session Sour, and both fresh AND cellared 120 Minute IPAs, which will also be available for sale as individual bottles. Holy cow, indeed.
6-8pm – We pull a few beers off the shelves as we sample Save the World’s Princeps Pacis, Real Ale Hans’ Pils, New Belgium Clutch, and Texas Keeper No 1. A great way to close out the night.

Noon-Closing – In celebration of National Record Store Day, we’ll be playing records all day and tapping Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA. Come by and drink in the music as you get punched in the face by a crazy hoppy beer.
2-5pm – Cedar Creek Brewing comes by to offer their Patio Pounder and Clover Kicker on draft, then we’ll be offering tastes of Lawn Ranger and cracking open their Dank Daze 12 pack, sampling all fours beers within: Dankosaurus, Poblano Paradise, Maui Wowie, and Grapefruit Haze.

Dogfish Head 120 Minute IPA – Too extreme to be called beer? 120 Minute IPA is brewed to a colossal 45 degrees plato, boiled for a full two hours while being continuously hopped with high-alpha American hops, then dry-hopped daily in the fermenter for a month and aged for another month on whole-leaf hops! 18% ABV / Milton, DE / RateBeer 99 / Availability: Extremely Limited
Alaskan Summer Ale – This balances a softly malted palate with the clean freshness of Hallertauer hops. In the tradition of the style, neither overpowers the other. Both hops and malt come together to refresh and renew the palate. Great Divide Roadie Radler – Unlike traditional radlers, which add finished soda to the beer, Great Divide’s take on the style uses an obscene amount of grapefruit puree and omits the soda. Deschutes Swivle Head Red – A great choice for malt and hop lovers alike! Tettnang, Willamette, and Northern Brewer hops bring earthy and herbal aromas, while Australian Summer hops complement with stone fruit and melon. Carared and Melanodin malts lend a nice full maltiness, with dark caramel and toffee flavors. 6.4% ABV / Bend, OR / Availability: Good
Avery Hog Heaven – This dangerously drinkable garnet beauty is a hop lover’s delight. The intense dry-hop nose and the alcohol content are perfectly balanced for a caramel malt backbone. Deep Ellum Numb Comfort – Malt flavors, hop bitterness and aroma, yeasty esters…everything has been turned up to ’11’. Numb Comfort is the continuation of the American interpretation of the barley wine. Then they fill the mash tin to the top with four different malts and dose it with enough of our favorite resinous, piney and fruity hops to balance. English Ale yeast takes it from there, and then a portion of this flavorful ale is aged in oak whiskey barrels to drive the complexity past the horizon. 11.5% ABV / Dallas, TX / RateBeer 97 / Availability: Decent

Buffalo Bayou Leagalize Hemp IPA – 7% ABV – Legalize Hemp IPA is packed full of dank hops. Fresh, green hop flavor all the way through and elevated by hemp seed flour. The hemp cuts through the bitterness with earthy nutty undertones. 7% ABV / Austin, TX
Hops & Grain Azacca Greenhouse IPA – Part of the ongoing Greenhouse IPA series, this single hop IPA focuses on the relatively new Azacca hop – giving off a citrusy, tropical flavor and aroma. 7.6% ABV / Austin, TX / BeerAdvocate 87
Petrus 50/50 Flanders Red – Petrus 50/50 is a blend of 50% Aged Pale and 50% Aged Red. Aged Pale is 100% “Mother Beer” aged in Oak Foeders. The gold standard for sour beers in the USA. Aged Red is 85% Dubbel Bruin base with 15% Petrus Aged Pale added to give it a sour essence.
