Sample Some More 512

Did you have a chance to try 512’s Whiskey Barrel-Aged Double Pecan Porter last week at Mueller? No? Why not? You’re in luck, because on Friday, 5/25, Liam with 512 will be by Lamar to pour samples of said bottle. And at Mueller, we’ll be sampling Martin House’s Salty Lady with various flavored syrups tonight from 5-8. Then, tomorrow, we’ll welcome in Southern Star to pour samples of their collaboration with the Pink Boots Society, a Wheat IPA.

Come work at WhichCraft! Do it! You spend enough time here, why not get paid for it? We are still looking for few good people to work part-time. The position is primarily at our South Lamar location, but some Mueller shifts are available, too. Prior retail experience is helpful, though not necessary, but you must have a love of beer and be helpful, outgoing, and willing to learn. Email resumes to jody [at] whichcraftbeerstore.com. What do you have to lose?

Mark your calendars for June 11, when we have the next iteration of our Style Night with the Beer Museum. Thanks to everyone who came out for the East vs. West Coast IPAs, now we’re moving on to a real summer treat: Goses. We’ll be comparing fruited and non-fruited varieties of this tart, salty beer, and discussing its history and intricacies. $20 for four 5 oz pours (and maybe a bonus or two!). Check here for more information.

And you have one more week to buy our May Brewery of the Month, Austin Beerworks. Six packs of all their beers for $7.99. If it’s got a big A, it’s on sale, so come in and pick up a six pack or two now. What’s June’s Brewery of the Month? You’ll just have to find out next week.

Experience this exclusive, next level evolution of their beloved Golden Monkey for yourself. 9.5% ABV / Downingtown, PA / Availability: Decent / SoLa Only

Ayinger Urweisse “The union of wheaty freshness and dark malt often produces a fullness of taste and complexity”, explains the world-famous English beer commentator Michael Jackson. This also applies to the Ayinger Urweisse, which is a strong amber-colored, yeast cloudy wheat beer. The beer is strong with the first taste and malty in aroma. The top-fermented, yeasty taste sensation is unmistakable. This beer is rich in sparkle and has just a touch of a special bitter quality. 5.8% ABV / Bavaria, Germany / Availability: Good / RateBeer 95 / SoLa Only

Erdinger Weissbier – A hazy golden color with a sizable head of foam. Smells strongly of lemon and grass with hints of grainy malts and hops. NOLA Hurricane Saison – Brewed with five different types of malts, including one un-malted raw wheat, pilsner and aromatic malts, Hurricane Saison also contains three types of hops: Sterling, Kent Goldings, and Styrian Goldings. 6% ABV / New Orleans, LA / Availability: Good

Wild Tonic Tropical Tumeric Kombucha – Pineapple and orange notes intermingle with pepper and spice for a healthy tropical bite. 5.6% ABV / Cottonwood, AZ / Availability: Good / SoLa Only

TX Keeper Grafter Rosé – Grafter Rosé is the first cider in their Grafter Series: ciders made from heirloom apples and vintage wine grapes. This release is predominately made with Rome Beauty apples, which pressed out a pale orange. They blended the finished cider with a small amount of red wine. The result is a beautifully rounded cider with notes of strawberries and cream, a hint of green apple, and a silky finish. Enjoy this ‘grafted’ cider on a summer afternoon. 8.3% ABV / Austin, TX / Availability: Decent

New Holland Hoptronix – Hoptronix 1-ups the game with its eye-popping bitterness. Mosaic hops give this IPA a dank aroma, yet it finished smooth and crisp. 9% ABV / New Holland, MI / RateBeer 88 / Availability: Decent

New Holland Tangerine Space Machine – New England IPA. Strong tangerine flavor with a mild hop finish. 6.8% ABV / New Holland, MI / Availability: Decent
