The Early Bird Gets the Tacos

We’re getting an even earlier start to our day at the Mueller location. Monday through Friday, we’re opening at 7am and selling delicious TacoDeli tacos. Who needs long Starbucks and taco lines when you can get it all covered at one location: ours! Drop by to see our smiling faces on your way to work, or heck, coming home from work. We don’t judge the night shifters…

This Memorial Day, we have some great events planned. First, we welcome in Zilker Brewing, our Brewery of the Month, to our South Lamar location Friday night to unveil Parks & Rec, their new bright, crisp Pale Ale. A portion of these sales goes to Austin Park Foundation’s maintenance of Zilker Park. Then on Saturday, Hops & Grains will have simultaneous tastings of River Beer, their American Adjunct Lager, at both locations, along with tastings of their full lineup at Lamar.

And we’re also running a contest through the end of the month. Take a picture with your pup in our South Lamar location, post to Instagram/Twitter/Facebook with the hashtag #whichcraftcontestyo, and on June 1st, we’ll choose a winner. Winner receives a $25 Gift Card.

The rules are simple: Show us your WhichCraft & your Pup!
(1) Post a picture of your puppers and doggos at #youratxbottleshop on South Lamar.
(2) Tag @whichcraftatx in both the photo and caption.
(3) Don’t forget the important hashtag: #WhichCraftContestYo.
Deadline is 11:59 PM on May 31st. The winner will be notified via direct message and then regrammed. Be creative, have fun, & show us your WhichCraft! Cheers, and may the odds be ever in your favor. #craftbeer #craftbeerlife #atxstyle #raffle #shenanigans #puppers #doggos #youratxbottleshop #WhichCraftContestYo #barksforbeers #phew

And finally, another reminder that we’ve partnered with the Beer Museum to host an evening of tasting Single Hop IPAs. Called Style Night, we’ll be sampling five different IPAs, all from different breweries, and tasting the nuances, similarities, and differences of style. This unique event will be hosted by WhichCraft’s own Lindsay Compton, a Certified Cicerone, providing in-depth knowledge about the hops used in each Single Hop IPA, and talking about hop anatomy, alpha and beta acids, and much more. This all goes down on June 13, 7-8pm, at WhichCraft Mueller. Follow the link to reserve your spot now. Confirmed beers so far: Martin House Cellarman’s Reserve IPA, Lone Pint Yellow Rose, Lone Pint Zythophile Lone Hop Series: Ella, and Last Stand Citra SMaSH.

(All beer available at both WhichCraft locations unless otherwise noted)

Back in Stock: Epic Oak & Orchard Syrah, Saint Arnold Raspberry AF, Real Ale Hans’ Pils, Oasis Meta Modern, Alpine Duet

Lagunitas Born Yesterday – Since Born Yesterday is bottled and shipped the very same day, the arrival date is kinda in the air ’til things get closer and nature says so. Kinda like a fresh lil’ newborn, only this puppy is made from whole-cone, un-kilned Mosaic, Equinox, Citra, Simcoe, and Amarillo hops. 7% ABV / Petaluma, CA / RateBeer 99 / Availability: Decent / SoLa Only

Sierra Nevada Beer Camp Variety 12pks – Beer Camp is the largest craft beer collaboration. This year, Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. has partnered with 12 craft breweries – six overseas and six stateside – to brew an international collaboration 12-pack, dubbed Beer Camp Across the World. This pack is loaded with dream beers: no idea was too wild and no ingredient was off-limits. Varied ABV / Chico, CA / Availability: Extremely Limited / SoLa Only

Dogfish Head Romantic Chemistry – What you have here is a serious IPA shacking up and hunkering down with mango and apricots. At the same time! Romantic Chemistry is brewed with an intermingling of mangoes, apricots, and ginger, then dry-hopped with three varieties of hops to deliver a tropical fruit aroma and a hop-forward finish. It’s fruity, it’s hoppy, it’s tasty! 7.2% ABV / Milton, DE / BeerAdvocate 85 / Availability: Decent / SoLa Only

Wasatch Blueberry Hefeweizen – Lightly flavored, aromatic, blueberry Hefeweizen. 4% ABV / Park City, UT / Availability: Good / SoLa Only

Brazos Valley Millions of Peaches – Light, refreshing, peach Wit. 5% ABV / Brenham, TX / Availability: Good / SoLa Only

Jester King RU-55 – Red ale aged in oak barrels with wild yeast and souring bacteria. Unfiltered, unpasteurized, and bottle-conditioned. 6.7 ABV / Austin, TX / BeerAdvocate 92 / Availability: Limited

Jester King Ol’ Oi – In Britain, what started out as young or “mild” dark ale was aged in oak barrels, creating something similar to sour brown ales of East Flanders. Using a similar base recipe to Commercial Suicide Dark Mild, Ol’ Oi! is Jester King’s tribute to that tradition. 6.3% ABV / Austin, TX / RateBeer 93 / Availability: Limited

North Peak Original – A light, sweet, malt taste complements the beautiful citrus floral notes from the hops. This beer is an everyday tribute to the original pale ale. 5.3% ABV / Dexter City, MA / Availability: Good / SoLa Only

New Beers on Draft at WhichCraft Taproom

Full Draft List Available on our Website

Saint Arnold Summer Pils – A true bohemian-style pilsner. Crisp and refreshing, this beer is perfect for a hot summer day. It has a delicate, sweet malt taste complemented by an abundant hop aroma and flavor. This beer is brewed with fine German malt and a copious quantity of Noble hops imported from the Czech Republic. 4.9% ABV / Houston, TX / BeerAdvocate 81

Saint Arnold Raspberry AF – A fruited Berliner Weisse, this is a light-bodied, but surprisingly flavorful, sour wheat beer brewed with lots and lots of real raspberry. The flavor is an upfront, thirst-quenching raspberry delight, followed by a tart and dry finish, making your palate thirst for more. 3.7% ABV / Houston, TX  BeerAdvocate 87

Circle Lady Bird IPA – An elegant yet blunt IPA, Lady Bird blossoms with dank and tropical hop aroma, finishing with a smooth floral flavor to balance against its malty complexity. Best enjoyed on a patio at the lake, or wherever you can bask in the natural beauty of Texas. 7.2% ABV / Austin, TX

Austin Beer Works Pearl Snap – When the temperature hits 100, this beer will be your best friend. It has a bright hop character with a finish so clean, it will pick up after itself. It’s crisp, refreshing, and clean. 5.3% ABV / Austin, TX / BeerAdvocate 87

Live Oak Weisser Rauch – Weisser Rauch, or White Smoke, is a marriage of a traditional German Hefeweizen and a Rauchbier. The smoke is more restrained than in some of our other offerings in order to allow the weizen yeast character to come forward. The smokiness plays on the spicy phenols and the fruity esters to both increase complexity and to fully integrate itself with the beer’s more familiar flavors. This beer is for the connoisseur and the smoke beer novice alike. 5.3% ABV / Austin, TX / BeerAdvocate 84

Schilling London Dry – Inspired by traditional London pub style cider, London Dry is bright, crisp, apple-forward, and dry as a bone. 6.5% ABV / Seattle, WA

Firestone Walker Velvet Merlin (Nitro) – The new ingredient is lactose, a.k.a. milk sugar. When Velvet Merlin is brewed with milk sugar to create Nitro Merlin Milk Stout, the effect is similar to adding cream to your dark roasted coffee. The result is a stout that is still dark and roasty, but now with a mellow sweetness and added roundness of body. 5.5% ABV / Paso Robles, CA / RateBeer 97

Lagunitas Waldos’ Special Ale – The dankest and hoppiest beer ever brewed at Lagunitas is this Triple IPA. 11.9% ABV / Paso Robles, CA / RateBeer 99

PHP Electric Jellyfish – Brewed with some of the newest and most exciting hop varieties, featuring Equinox, Calypso, Citra, and Galaxy hops, Electric Jellyfish enjoys a bright, tropical, citrus character, along with notes of orange, lemon, lychee, and a floral backbone. The Jellyfish is a new school IPA focusing on the juicy hop flavor and aroma while keeping the bitterness balanced and refreshing. 6.5% ABV / Austin, TX / RateBeer 97

Copperhead Feeding Frenzy – A hazy, double dry-hopped, double IPA, using massive amounts of Apollo, Comet, Citra, and Amarillo hops to achieve its intense blast of juicy citrus and tropical hop flavors. 8% ABV / Conroe, TX
