Starting now we’re accepting donations for the Hays County Food Bank to help victims of the massive flood damage that has taken place for our neighbors to the south. Get 5% off your WhichCraft purchase when you donate items!

We’re excited to be one of only about a dozen places in town to offer pre-sales of the Austin Passbook, a local guide that allows for 2-for-1 deals at a whole host of food and event destinations in Austin. At $20, if you use it only twice it pays for itself! Find out more and pre-purchase your book here. We’re also selling the books at WhichCraft, which are active from June 1st – October 1st.

Big Bend beers will finally be hitting the Austin market! They’ve been brewing since 2012 out in Alpine, TX, and are led by brewmaster Steve Henderson, who was one of the original Austin craft beer pioneers. He brewed at Waterloo Brewpub back in the 90s before moving over to Live Oak and brewing there for over a decade. Austin is the first market they’re distributing to outside of West Texas, and we’re excited for their 5 different varieties to arrive this Friday. We’ll also be doing a custom 5-pack mixer with one each of their beers for $9! The beers are: Tejas Lager (light, easy drinking lager), Terlingua Gold (slightly sweet blonde ale), Big Bend Hefeweizen (the closest thing you can get to Live Oak’s hef in a can!), Frontera IPA and 22 Porter.

Oddwood Saison – We’re excited to have this one back in stock for the first time in about 4 months. Taylor, the head brewer at Adelbert’s, started a side project Oddwood Ales and is committed to not only aging but fermenting his beers in oak. This saison is aged in red wine barrels and uses Belgian yeast strains as well as brettanomyces for a nice farmhouse tartness. 6.4% ABV/Austin, TX/Beer Advocate 90/Availability: decent

Prairie Eliza5beth * – One of the two new Prairie releases, Eliza5beth (yes, actual spelling) is a golden farmhouse ale aged on apricots to allow sourness and light fruit flavors to add complexity to the beer.  7% ABV/Krebs, OK/Ratebeer 99/*Arriving Friday/Availability:  limited

Prairie Gold* – Prairie Gold is a dry, highly effervescent saison fermented with a mix of ale yeast, wine yeast, lactobacillus and 2 strains of brettanomyces. This beer highlights the various yeasts and bacteria used to make it. Lemon, pear, white wine grapes, and a touch of funk dominate the flavor and aroma in this champagne like beer. 7% ABV/Krebs, OK/Ratebeer 98/*Arriving Friday/Availability: limited

Save the World Verbum in Tenbris Double Chocolate Milk Stout – Save the World’s latest seasonal release is a decadent stout brewed with cocoa nibs and peppermint. It is full bodied with malt sweetness at the beginning and a lingering rich medium-dry finish. 7.5% ABV/Marble Falls, TX/No ratings yet/Availability: plenty

Save the World Princeps Pacis Tripel – Back in stock for the first time in 2015, three different grains combine with three different hops to create a delightful balance of floral hops, lightly sweet malt, spice, and hints of citrus fruits. It is medium bodied with a lightly sweet finish and a hint of warmth. 8.7% ABV/Marble Falls, TX/No ratings yet/Availability: plenty

Victory Sour Monkey – Victory Sour Monkey is a new twist on the brewery’s year round favorite, Golden Monkey. The Belgian-style tripel has spent some time fermenting with Brettanomyces yeast and souring bacteria. Aroma is very varied with lemon, sour, and mild brettanomyces notes. Flavor follows with a tart acidity. 9.5% ABV/Downington, PA/No ratings yet/Availability: very limited

Rogue Sriracha Stout – Rogue partnered with the iconic hot sauce maker Huy Fong to combine their popular Sriracha hot sauce with a roasty stout. The result is pretty much what you’d expect. 5.7% ABV/Newport, OR/Ratebeer 82/Availability: very limited

Great Divide Rumble – Rumble is an American IPA with subtle nuance. Brewed with heavy handed additions of Pacific Northwest hops, this beer is gently aged on French and American oak resulting in a wonderful balance of bitterness, caramel sweetness, vanilla, and undertones of pine and citrus. 7.1% ABV/Denver, CO/Ratebeer 94/Availability: decent
