New Beers This Week

Back in stock: Mikkeller Hallo Ich Bin Berliner Weisse, To Ol Black Maria.

Oskar Blues Passion Fruit Pinner – Clean malts with hints of toasted biscuit pair with zesty hops to spice up the taste and aromas from pureed Passion Fruit and a small spike of pureed Blood Orange. 4.9% ABV/Longmont, CO/Ratebeer 81/Availability:

Oskar Blues Priscilla – Priscilla’s zesty citrus and light fresh baked bread aromas mix with spicy, fruity fermentation. Light bodied with a subtle savory spice accent and a dry, lightly tart finish. 5.2% ABV/Longmont, CO/Beer Advocate 84/Availability:

Dogfish Head Seaquench – A session sour made with lime peel, black lime and sea salt. It’s a citrusy-tart union of three German styles of beer blissfully brewed into one. Dogfish begins by brewing a straightforward Kolsch with lots of wheat and Munich Malt, then brews a salty Gose with black limes, coriander and sea salt. It is followed up with a citrusy-tart Berlinerweiss made with lime juice and lime peel. All three beers are then blended together in the fermentation tank to create this German hybrid. 4.9% ABV/Milton, DE/No ratings yet/Availability:

Victory Elderflower Berliner Weisse – The latest in Victory’s Blackboard Series is a slightly tart wheat beer with the addition of Elderflowers for a floral and mildly sweet finish. 5.2% ABV/Downington, PA/Beer Advocate 89/Availability:

Buffalo Bayou Rotundone Peach – This variation of Rotundone, Buff Brew’s old-school French Saison, is a savory peach bomb. Fresh & juicy peaches add perfect balance of wafer thin sweetness to the peppery Saison base. 9% ABV/Houston, TX/No ratings yet/Availability: decent

Nebraska Tarte Apricot Saison – A variation on Nebraska’s Apricot au Poivre Saison, this one is aged in chardonnay barrels with apricots. 750mL format. 7.5% ABV/Papillion, NE/Ratebeer 86/Availability: decent

Mikkeller Green & Gold IPA – Mikkeller’s take on an American-style IPA. Aggressively hopped with Simcoe, Cascade and Amarillo and comes in a single 16 oz can. 6.9% ABV/Copenhagen, Denmark/Ratebeer 98/Availability: plenty

Infamous Sexapeel – The newest release from Josh & the crew at Infamous, Sexapeel is a hefeweizen brewed with coriander and orange peel. 6 pack cans; infinitely crushable in this heat. 6% ABV/Austin, TX/No ratings yet/Availability: plenty

Ballast Point Pumpkin Down* – Ballast Point used the caramel and toffee maltiness of their Piper Down Scottish ale as the perfect backdrop for a boatload of roasted pumpkin. Just before bottling, they add a subtle amount of spice to complement, but not overwhelm, the earthy flavor. 5.8% ABV/San Diego, CA/Ratebeer 84/Availability: decent/*Arriving Friday

Ballast Point Dead Ringer* – Thanks to an abundance of toasted malt and a lower hop bitterness, this dark reddish brown Oktoberfest lager is loaded with sweet, caramel toffee flavors and aromas. 6% ABV/San Diego, CA/Beer Advocate 83/Availability: decent/*Arriving Friday
