Wasatch Pumpkin – Brewed with the finest barley and pure pumpkin, then spiced like your favorite holiday pie. This amber-hued ale is sure to please! 4% ABV / Park City, UT / Ratebeer 85 / Availability: Good
Wasatch Black O’ Lantern – Alone in his laboratory one stormy night, a madman crossed an imperial stout with pumpkin to create this frankenbrew. How good is it? Well, scary good. Food pairings: eye of newt, devil’s food cake. 6.5% ABV / Park City, UT / Ratebeer 87 / Availability: Good
Nebraska Wick for Brains – Brewed with real pumpkin which lends a sweetness and pumpkin flavor not found in many Pumpkin Ales. Wonderful pumpkin pie spice intertwined in an Amber Ale creates a pumpkin sensation which is elegantly crafted. Notes of Cinnamon, Nutmeg, Clove, Ginger and Allspice blend perfectly in this seasonal Ale. 6.1% ABV / Papillion, NE / Beeradvocate 82 / Availability: Good
Southern Star Oktoberfest – This German-Style Festbier is amber-hued with a full malt aroma and a light, foamy froth. The taste offers a decidedly nutty light roast with an emphasis on malt sweetness that’s smooth and well balanced. 6.3% ABV / Conroe, TX / Availability: Good
The Bruery Terreux Beret – A silky, full-bodied wheat ale which began fermenting with the Bruery’s house yeast strain. To finish the fermentation, they added their collection of barnyard bacteria, intended to slowly sour the ale, bringing out a slight funk and refreshing piquancy. Finally, a small dose of pureed raspberries were added for just a hint of fruity tannins, putting the berry in Beret. 9% ABV / Anaheim, CA / Ratebeer 97 / Availability: Limited
The Bruery Terreux Hottenroth – Brewed with lactobacillus and a hint of brettanomyces to sour this very unusual, low gravity wheat beer. To cut the tartness for those with sweeter tastes, raspberry or woodruff syrup is a traditional way to sweeten the beer. 3.1% ABV / Anaheim, CA / Ratebeer 93 / Availability: Limited
The Bruery Terreux Quadrupel Tonnellerie – French for “cooperage”, each beer in the series shares one core trait: they were all fermented in oak. Beyond that, the recipes and styles are as unique as the cues they take from nature. Quadrupel Tonnellerie, a barrel-fermented Belgian-style quadrupel with blackberries, is no exception. A style known for being at the more malty, complex and rich end of the Belgian strong ale spectrum, this quad revels in layers of sweet caramel, dark fruit and figgy flavors, and complimentary undercurrents of oak. The natural esters from the Belgian yeast compliment the rustic, earthy qualities derived from the barrels and piquant flavors from the fruit for a dynamic flavor profile and mouthfeel that will evolve over time. 10.2% ABV / Anaheim, CA / Availability: Limited
The Bruery Share This Coffee – Share This: Coffee is an imperial stout with freshly-roasted coffee sourced by Mostra Coffee from the Philippines. For each bottle produced, Free Wheelchair Mission receives one dollar, in turn, helping friends in the Philippines become mobile for the first time. 11.9% ABV / Placentia, CA / Ratebeer 96 / Availability: Limited
The Bruery Trade Winds – Trade Winds Tripel is a Belgian-style Golden Ale with a Southeast Asian twist. Instead of using candi sugar (typical for such a beer), the brewers use rice in the mash to lighten the body and increase the gravity, and spice with Thai Basil. The result is an aromatic, digestible and complex beer made for a lazy summer evening. 8% ABV / Placentia, CA / Ratebeer 94 / Availability: Limited
AleSmith Double IPA – The flavor imparts orange, grapefruit, and tangerine hop notes with earthy, spicy, and resinous pine undertones. A sturdy malt backbone balances out the profound hop bitterness to create a refreshingly assertive and vibrant beer that offers an unapologetically bold expression of fresh American hops. 8.5% ABV / San Diego, CA / Ratebeer 100 / Availability: Limited
Green Flash Jibe – This session beer is designed to satisfy your craving for floral, citrus, and pungent IPA hop flavors. Your palate will enjoy the sensations of a complex hopping and a only 4% abv you’ll be able to enjoy more of this hoppy golden ale … that really isn’t an IPA at all. 4% ABV / San Diego, CA / Beeradvocate 84 / Availability: Decent
Collective Brewing Project Suspicious Delicious – 100% Brett fermented Amber Saison aged on oak, yielding a beer that has light caramel notes, stone fruit flavors, and a hint of oak. 6.9% ABV / Fort Worth, TX / Availability: Decent
Adelbert’s Tripel Treat – Rum-Barrel Aged Belgian-Style Tripel. This Belgian-style tripel matured in the same barrels Treaty Oak Distillery uses to make their Barrel Reserve Rum. Beginning with a surprisingly fruity nose, this ale exquisitely balances notes of warming rum, soft coconut and buttery oak. Pairs well with green curry chicken, coconut shrimp and cream puffs. 11.7% BAV / Austin, TX / Availability: Decent
Avery The Beast – The Beast is a seducer – accomodating, complicated, powerful, dark and created to last the ages. Beyond this, it’s futile to attempt to describe Him. He will unveil Himself differently to each of His followers. The mark is in His constitution. Brewed with two-row malted barley, honey malt, and imported Belgian specialty grains (aromatic, pale wheat, roasted wheat, and Special B), hops (Magnum, Galena, Saaz, Hallertau, Tettnang, and Hersbrucker), brewing sugars (raisins, dates, blackstrap molasses, alfalfa honey, turbinado, and dark Belgian candy sugar), water, Belgian yeast and another hellion of a yeast strain. 16.8% ABV / Boulder, CO / Ratebeer 97 / Availability: Very Limited
Pedernales Texas Hop Bomb #3 – Made with Vienna malts and Sorachi Ace hops. 8% ABV / Fredericksburg, TX / Availability: Decent
Small Town Not Your Father’s Vanilla Cream Ale – A creamy botanical craft beer brewed with Madagascar Vanilla, combining a lightly sweet savor with a smooth finish to create a refreshing botanical craft beer. 4.1% ABV / Wauconda, IL / Beeradvocate 85 / Availability: Good
Clown Shoes ArchDruid – Irish red ale aged in Irish whiskey barrels. 9% ABV / Ipswich, MA / Availability: Decent.
5 Stones Frederick Berg – Ale handcrafted with fresh peaches. 6% ABV / Cibolo, TX / Availability: Decent
Funkwerks Dry Hopped Provincial – What happens when you combine a sessionable sour beer with a healthy dose of fruit forward hops? Dry Hopped Provincial is a wonderfully delicious combination of the floral flavor and aroma of hoppy beers with the succulent tartness of a sour. The perfect beer to enjoy on a hot summer day. Notes of citrus with floral aromas. 4.2% ABV / Fort COllins, CO / Availability: Decent
Martin House Salsa Verde – Roasted Hatch chili peppers and lime infuse this limited release with a zesty kick. Also attending the fiesta are tomatillos for a subtle sweetness, lime for tartness and cilantro to mellow it all out. The full-bodied blonde malt provides a great counter-balance for the intense rush of flavor. 7.6% ABV / Fort Worth, TX / Availability: Decent
*Sam Adams Octoberfest – Samuel Adams Octoberfest is a malt lover’s dream, masterfully blending together four roasts of barley to create a delicious harmony of sweet flavors including caramel and toffee. 5.3% ABV / Boston, MA / Beeradvocate 83 / Availability: Good / *Arriving Friday
