Violet, We’re Selling Violet, Violet

Today, Thursday Aug 30, we’re officially welcoming in the newest addition to the Hi Sign canned family: Violet, their blueberry blonde. Drop by either location starting at 5pm to join in on the fun and take home a 6 pack. At Mueller, we’ll also be tapping their very timely Lucifer’s Fake News IPA. You’ll like it bigly. And as an added bonus, pick up 6pks of their Shamus, Wooderson and Violet for 8.99 all weekend starting today.

For the rest of this weekend, don’t miss some great events we have lined up. Friday at Lamar, Merchant du Vin will be in sampling various Ayinger beers, while at Mueller, we have a Firestone Walker Pint Night and Cellar Release. Four beers are on tap: their Lager, Velvet Merlin, Stickee Monkee, and UnderCurrant, along with an array of bottles from 2017 and older available for purchase. Limit one bottle to go per customer.

And don’t miss your chance to get funky with us! Join us and the Beer Museum on Monday, September 10th at 7pm, as we taste and learn about Belgian spontaneously fermented beer styles. We’ll be tasting a variety of Belgian Gueuze, Lambic, Kriek and Framboise. This event will be hosted at WhichCraft Tap Room. The Beer Museum will be setting up the traveling roadshow version of the museum’s exhibits and will dive deep into this fascinating beer style’s history, origins, and how it’s brewed. Our own Certified Cicerone Chuck Stephens will also provide in-depth knowledge about the ingredients used in each beer and tasting techniques. Expect 5 oz pours of four different beers plus a bonus beer or two. We’ll also be quizzing your knowledge and handing out prizes! Super Bonus: After the tasting, take 10% off your favorite Gueuze or Lambic from WhichCraft’s retail store! Buy tickets here.

Finally, thank you all for the outpouring of support and lamentations about the SoLa bottle shop closing. We’re still pretty beat up about it, but hey, this means we have a lot of beer we need to sell to make the final transfer to Mueller that much easier. So how about we double last week’s sale and take 20% all beer on the shelf in Lamar. Sound good? Great!

New Beers on Draft at WhichCraft Taproom

Full Draft List Available on our Website

Tupps DDH #3 – Hopped twice with crazy amounts of Citra, Idaho-7 and t’n’t this IPA has great mouthfeel, low bitterness, and huge aroma. 7.2% ABV / McKinney, TX

Celis Dark Odyssey – This full-bodied Oatmeal Stout from their Single Tank Series has an unreal, silky-smooth mouth feel. This unique beer also features a unique ingredient—roasted, de-husked dark malt. Chocolate malt has been added to boost the beer’s already rich and complex undertones. Mandarina hops were specifically chosen to enhance the interplay of chocolate, oats, malts and orange. Wonderfully rich and simply exquisite. 7.5% ABV / Austin, TX

Firestone Walker Lager – Made in the classic all-malt Munich Helles style, Firestone Lager demands technical perfection from their brewing team, with a transparent canvas that would otherwise reveal the smallest flaw. Gambrinus pilsner malt establishes a crisp, dry base with a soft mouthfeel, while noble German hops provide just a whisper of bitterness. The result is an impossibly smooth and immensely drinkable beer that aims to help redefine American Lager. 4.5% ABV / Paso Robles, CA

Community Razzy Wit – Razzy begins as our World Beer Cup Gold Medal-winning Witbier, a year-round offering. After primary fermentation, as add natural raspberry puree to create a secondary fermentation. 5.5% ABV / Dallas, TX

Hi Sign Lucifer’s Fake News – A deep piney resinous old school-to-the-bone West Coast IPA. 6 malts. 6 hops. 6.2% ABV / Austin, TX

Firestone Walker UnderCurrants – Using 12-36 month aged Agrestic Ale as a base, to which they add 1.5lbs/gal Black Currants, the beer undergoes the final maturation in our French Oak “Fruiders” for an additional four months. A convergence of supple tanning and deep purple pigments, gooseberry jam, a month-watering acidity and earthy leather elicit notes of a beer having vinous roots. 6.3% ABV / Paso Robles, CA / RateBeer 98
