WhichCraft Beer Store is excited to  be hosting a special Jester King Brewing Company Tasting, guided by Founder and Owner Jeff Stuffings. Since its creation six years ago, Jester King has established itself as a hallmark of the Austin beer community. They pride themselves on their diverse selection of authentic farmhouse beers, including highly sought after barrel aged fruit sours. They also remain an active participant in Texas beer legislation, supporting the effort to expand the distribution of out of state breweries to the Texas market. During this free tasting Jeff Stuffings will guide customers through a tasting of Noble king 2014, El Cedro, Das Uberkind and Omniscience & Proselytism. We will also have bottles of Wytchmaker and Gotlandsdricka available for purchase. Because of limited availability, none of the four beers featured in the tasting will be available for retail purchase.

Independence RedBud – Inspired by classically tart and refreshing Berliner Weisse flavor profile, RedBud is light and lemony with a crisp acidity. Reissdorf Kolsch 4pk cans – Reissdorf Kölsch is the beer speciality from Cologne with a tradition starting 1894. A Kölsch with a pleasant, full-bodied, and uniquely light and sweet taste in premium quality, that is brewed for the adepts who prefer something special. 4.8% ABV / Cologne, Germany / Beeradvocate 86 / Availability: Good

BFM Abbaye Saint Bon-Chien 2015 – an antique beer, a strong sour ale with 11% abv aged in old wine oak barrels during one year. Great Divide White Water –  an American wheat ale built for exploration. Anchor Brotherhood – a Golden State Collaboration of handcrafted California tunes and handcrafted California brews. Inspired by the brewing tradition of Anchor Steam Beer, Brotherhood Steam Beer is brewed with its own unique recipe. Green Flash Sea to Sea – an unfiltered Zwickel lager layered with German Pilsner malts, Hallertau Mittelfreüh and Czech Saaz hops, 2-row barley, and traditional Pilsner yeast. Angry Orchard Knotty Pear – Knotty Pear leads with ripe apple, baked pear aromas and hints of cardamom. Knotty Pear’s main ingredient is juice from American apples, and also features pear juice, which adds a new dimension to the cider, creating a pleasantly dry flavor. Cardamom imparts a slight spicy flavor. With subtle notes of citrus and mint. Saint Arnold Icon Gold – Texas Honey Saison is a refreshingly bright ale brewed with Texas wildflower honey from our friends at Burleson’s. Odell Drumroll APA – Drumroll is an unfiltered American Pale Ale. A bold, juicy, citrus-inspired and tropically hop forward APA that looks and tastes like pineapple, orange, mango, and grapefruit. The complex fruit character is the result of the careful combination of current crop year hops with no fruit or juice addition necessary. 5.3% ABV / Fort COllins, CO / Availability: Limited

Aecht Schlenkerla Helles Lagerbier“Schlenkerla Helles” is brewed with fine Bavarian aroma hops from the area around the city of Nürnberg. It’s lagered in century old caves underneath the historic Schlenkerla brewery and maltings. Schlenkerla Helles is boiled in the same copper kettles and bottom fermented by the same yeast as the historic Schlenkerla Smokebeer. Its subtle smokiness without using smoke malt makes “Helles Schlenkerla Lager” a unique representative of the classic lager beer style “Bavarian Helles”. 4.2% ABV / Bamberg, Germany / Beeradvocate 89 / Availability: Good
