Advent Season Is Upon Us!

With this recent cold snap we thought it was high time to bring back our favorite holiday treat: Advent calendars! We’ll have more information for it below on how to order yours today. But first…

This weekend, we’ll have three stellar events. Tonight from 5-8pm, we’ll be having a Pint Night special with Uncle Billy’s and their Knuckleballer kolsch. Then on Friday from 5-8, Kai with Independence drops by for another Buy the Beer, Keep the Glass event as we feature their Tangerine High Boy. And finally, on Saturday, Big Bend Brewing visits the store. We’ll have their Alpine White on tap, and starting at 4pm, we’ll be selling their Antifragile wild ale and 2017 Marfa Lights. First come, first served and limit one each per customer.

And we at WhichCraft are fans of the four-legged variety, which is why we’re excited to bring in BarkSwag for a pop-up event on Saturday, 10/27. They’ll be setting outside from 10am-4pm to sell some of their locally-made dog bandanas. Check out their website for more details on their designs.

With the Astros still being good at sportsball, make sure to come in anytime they’re playing (until they’re knocked out or win it all) to watch the game and enjoy Happy Hour pricing. Go ‘Stros!

Finally, let’s break down this year’s Advent calendar details. Count down to Christmas with 24 different beers, each to be opened every day in December leading up to the 25th. Pre-sales of these popular boxes begin today, Thursday, October 18th. Purchases can be made in person at or by calling us at (512) 655-2899. Here’s the skinny (deep breath…):

– We’ll be offering sealed boxes, each including 24 different 12oz. beers (because exactly 24 beers fit in a case…coincidence?!). Boxes will be pre-sold for $100+tax, and pickups will begin Friday, November 16. We ask that you pay in full when you reserve it, and you can choose which location you’d like to pick it up.

– We’ll only be selling a total of 80 of these holiday treats, so make sure to order yours now!

– Here’s the most supremely awesome part:

– Two GOLDEN BOXES will be created, which will look identical to all of the others. In each Golden Box, the 24 beers will equal TWICE the retail value of the normal boxes. That’s right, your math isn’t fooling you: your $100 box will contain $200 worth of beer.

– These Golden Boxes will be indistinguishable from their brethren, and even WhichCraft staff won’t know which will be the Golden Boxes. When you arrive to pick up your box, you get to choose at random from the boxes still available.

– There will be one Golden Box created for every 40 Advent Calendars sold.

NOTE: Shipping beers into, out of, or within Texas is prohibited by state law. So all boxes must be picked up in person (though sending a proxy is acceptable).
