Barrels of Fun with (512)…and a Barrel-Aged Beer Bracket

Embracing that #AvoidSXSW lifestyle? Then don’t miss Austin’s own (512) Brewing dropping by the shop Friday from 5-8pm, as we’re featuring a pair of barrel-aged beers: their Young Funkenstein and Brandy Barrel Dubbel. Holy cow, it’ll be a tasty night.

And don’t forget to start that cough on Monday leading up to next Thursday’s NCAA Tourney. Don’t pull the rookie mistake of calling in that day. And make sure to spend those tourney days at WhichCraft; we’ll have Happy Hour specials any time a tournament game is on. That’s a lot of games, and a lot of happy hours.

And speaking of tournaments, it’s that time again for the WhichCraft Texas Tournament of Beers. This year we’re doing something a bit different: we’re focusing on barrel-aged beers. We have 16 beers from all around Texas, and if it spent some time in some kind of barrel, we considered it. And for an extra twist, we did away with seeds and shuffled them into random slots. Atrial Rubicite vs. Barrel-Aged Pumpkinator for our very first matchup? Madness!

Visit this link (challonge.com/wcbbabtx) to create your bracket RIGHT NOW!…then stay tuned to our Twitter and Facebook pages when each pairing goes live starting Thursday, 3/21, to vote on the outcome, using both platforms to vote (yes, votes count separate on each. Chaos!). The bracket will progress roughly on the same timeline as the basketball tournament, with a new matchup happening almost every day for just over two weeks. We’ll offer prizes for the 1st & 2nd Place winners, and remember to spread the word and sway those votes for your favorite beer with each new matchup! And use that hashtag #WhichCraftMadness.

Finally, keep buying 6pks of Martin House all March. Salty Lady, True Love, MH Pils, and Cellarman’s Reserve sixers are only $7.99!
