New Beers This Week

Back In Stock: 4th Tap Kung Fu Robot

Bell’s Hopslam Starting with six different hop varietals added to the brew kettle & culminating with a massive dry-hop addition of Simcoe hops, Bell’s Hopslam Ale possesses the most complex hopping schedule in the Bell’s repertoire. Selected specifically because of their aromatic qualities, these Pacific Northwest varieties contribute a pungent blend of grapefruit, stone fruit, and floral notes. A generous malt bill and a solid dollop of honey provide just enough body to keep the balance in check, resulting in a remarkably drinkable rendition of the Double India Pale Ale style. 10% ABV / Comstock, MI / RateBeer 100 / Availability: Limited

Austin Beerworks Body Spray – Double Brut IPA. Collaboration with Sun King Brewery. 10% ABV / Austin, TX / Availability: Limited

Maui Laulima Belgian IPA – Laulima translates to “many hands working together” in Hawaiian. Belgian-style India Pale Ale brewed with candi sugar. In collaboration with Breakside Brewery. 7.1% ABV / Maui, HI / Availability: Good

Saint Arnold Divine Reserve #19 – Spiced Oatwine. The base beer started with an English-style barleywine and their signature Saint Arnold ale yeast – it’s got a rich malt character with notes of dried fruit esters. To accomplish the oatmeal flavor and finish, they used malted oats, which provide texture and a warm grain-like flavor. A small amount of cinnamon and nutmeg was also used in balance to finish off this homage to the oatmeal raisin cookie. 10.4% ABV / Houston, TX / Availability: Decent (Arriving Friday)

Boulevard Chocolate Ale – Chocolate Ale is full of surprises, beginning with a glowing amber hue. The aroma is given over to earthy, fruity cocoa, with just a hint of hops. Smooth layers of dark chocolate intertwine with threads of caramel, vanilla, and nutty malt as the flavor warms and rounds to a bittersweet finish. 9.1% ABV / Kansas City, MO / RateBeer 90 / Availability: Decent (Arriving Friday)

Boulevard Space Camper – Cosmic IPA.  Juicy, tropical fruit flavors imparted by massive late additions of Ekuanot, El Dorado, and Galaxy hop varietals. 5.9% ABV / Kansas City, MO / Availability: Good (Arriving Friday)

Skull Mechanix Horimana Dry – Japanese-style light lager. 4.5% ABV / Austin, TX

Family Business Aurora – Fresh bread aroma and a creamy honey graham cracker flavor blend harmoniously with a bright and crisp hop finish, resulting in a remarkably balanced and seductive lager. 5.1% ABV / Dripping Springs, TX

Founders Nitro Oatmeal Stout – A Founders take on a classic style, brewed with a generous amount of flaked oats, chocolate malt, roasted barley and a healthy helping of Nugget hops, Founders Oatmeal Stout is nitrogen-infused to give it an extra smooth and creamy mouthfeel. An attractive cascade effect gives this beer its forthright visual appeal—and the body and clean flavor delivers on that initial promise. 4.5% ABV / Grand Rapids, MI / RateBeer 92
