Goodnight, Sweet Prince

The sad day is upon us. After over four years of being your go-to craft beer bottle shop, WhichCraft on S. Lamar is closing its doors on Saturday. Thank you to everyone who has come out and said goodbye during these last few weeks, and especially last week’s bottle share. But we still want to see your faces for three more days to clear our shelves and save 30% off all remaining beer on the shelf.

Meanwhile, this weekend at Mueller kicks off tonight with welcoming in our Brewery of the Month, Tupps. Pick up a 6pk and a pint of their DDH. Then on Friday, Frank with Saint Arnold drops by to pour samples of their Citrodos IPA and Weedwacker, along with Oktoberfest, Raspberry AF, and Bishops Barrel #20. Then on Saturday, we have a real treat: Lakewood unveils their new (to Austin) Temptress: Peanut Butter Temptress. I mean, do I really need to say more? Get down here and sample this beauty.

And remember to continue picking up 6pks of Tupps at our Mueller location. We’re offering their IPA, Citra Pale Ale, and American Wheat for $5.99. All September!

New Beers This Week at Mueller

(All beer available at both WhichCraft locations unless otherwise noted)

Sierra Nevada Narwhal – This malt-forward monster is bold – with notes of baker’s cocoa, molasses, and dark roasted coffee. This massive imperial stout is incredibly complex, rich, and intense and will develop in the bottle for years to come. 10.2% ABV / Chico, CA / RateBeer 99 / Availability: Decent

Sierra Nevada Hop Bullet – With Hop Bullet, they’re using a new technique, hitting the beer with a double-barreled blast of Magnum hops and lupulin dust—pure, concentrated hop flavor—directly into the tank to emphasize the intense pine and citrus flavors of classic West Coast hops. 8% ABV / Chico, CA / RateBeer 93 / Availability: Good

Brazos Valley Greetings from Brenham – Brut IPA with Citra and Mosaic hops. 6.5% ABV / Brenham, TX / Availability: Decent

Tupps Day of the Dead – Juicy pale ale. 5.5% ABV / McKinney, TX / Availability: Good

Lagunitas 12th of Never – Tropically Hoppy. Light, yet Full-Bodied. Bright and Citrusy. Word. The magical, mystical 12th of Never is a blend of Old and New School hops that play bright citrus, rich coconut, and papaya-esque flavors, all on a solid stage of English puffed wheat. 5.5% ABV / Petaluma, CA / Availability: Good / RateBeer 91

Founders Trigo – Pale Wheat Lager: lightly hopped, citrus, floral. 6.3% ABV / Grand Rapids, MI / Availability: Good

Founders Curmudgeon’s Better Half – Old ale aged in bourbon barrels previously used for Michigan maple syrup. 12.7% ABV / Grand Rapids, MI / Availability: Decent

New Beers on Draft at WhichCraft Taproom

Full Draft List Available on our Website

Saint Arnold Weedwacker – Weedwacker is the result of their pitching Lawnmower wort (wort is the unfermented beer) with Bavarian Hefeweizen yeast. This is a study in how different yeasts have different effects on beers. 4.9% ABV / Houston, TX

Saint Arnold Citrodos IPA (Friday) – This beer is a crisp clean IPA that has, you guessed it, lots of Citra hops, and some Centennial hops. The aroma is bursting with citrus, fruit and some tropical notes. 6.3% ABV / Houston, TX

Texas Keeper Auguste Cerise – Dry, heirloom apple cider. Double fermented with sour cherries. 8.4% ABV / Austin, TX

Lakewood Peanut Butter Temptress – Peanut Butter Temptress is an imperial milk stout brewed with lactose sugar and vanilla and conditioned on chocolate, peanuts and sea salt. 9.1% ABV / Garland, TX

Hi Sign Violet – Blueberry blonde. 5.1% ABV / Austin, TX

Zilker Phresh Pils – Dry hopped with 80lbs of fresh Amarillo hops. 5% ABV / Austin, TX
